Danya B. Contemporary Encircled Male & Female Reader Cast Iron Sculpture Bookend Statues (Single Male)

This artwork/bookend is heavy enough to hold books. This is why I purchased it. I am surprised by the quality! All edges are smooth, the stick figure looks very comfortable in a relaxed pose. I m used to seeing bent knees or legs stretched, but this little guy sits like I do: one knee bent up, and the other flexed off to the side. I am surprised by how charmed I am!The seller packed this very carefully, and included a note about their family business, as well as contact information and return information should I require further assistance. I am really happy with this purchase!

This is heavy and perfect for use as a bookend or a decoration. My picky bookworm son loves it and wants a similar one for the other end of his books, but I’m not finding something in the same style that is heavy enough - the only drawback. This artist is phenomenal and it would be nice to have another similar sculpture that is heavier than the ones that are offered so you don’t need to have the same thing on both ends. It is super cool, though, and something you can use in a variety of home decor situations.

I am an avid reader so this was the perfect addition yo my collection of Danya iron sculptures. Sturdy as well as beautiful. Although I love all of the Danya sculptures, one needs to be careful. Some of the pieces are not actually made if iron and there are color variances. This piece is not a bronze color but rather a dark matte brown. Although I usually prefer the bronze color, the description of this piece indicated the piece was dark brown in color and the piece is still whimsical and to my mind, a beautiful sculpture.

This statue is heavy and made well. When I read a book, this is how I feel- like I’m in my own little space. I gifted it to myself!!

As a prolific reader all things book-related speak to me. This pair sure does! Looks great inside out new built-in white bookcase.

I am more than pleased with the sculpture! Its beautiful to me. I love to read and I like looking at it sitting by my books. Its very cozy, it relaxes me! It reminds me to pick up a good book and find a quiet place and just be, if i find my mind is too caught up in the memory of a busy day.

Bought this for my daughter who loves to read. The base isn't perfectly flat and the sculpture will tip over to the side is the dresser is rocked to hard. Other than that, I love it and she does too.
