This is great chocolate. We try to take a piece a day as the cocoa is good for joints or overall health. Of course, this is PURE which means there is no sugar. So... It is bitter... But worth it. The only thing to note is that it was a little melted when it arrived. Not bad just a little mushy.

I bought this because I thought with the orange that it would be yummy . . . NOPE!! Only the vaguest hint of orange! Not nearly enough to offset the flat bitter taste. I will never buy it again. Maybe I can grate a little to decorate a frosted cake, otherwise it's a dud.

Very very dark hard to manage in my mouth. I don’t believe there’s any sugar content at all. It melts but it’s very very bitter.

It is what you would expect of a good dark chocolate. The orange flavor is subtle. The nibs are definitely there. Keep in mind. This is a dark chocolate not a sweet chocolate. I would definitely buy this again.

GOOD / TASTY product... GOOD for you -- NO sugars, junk -- low(er) calories (substantially)... LOVE the INTENSE FLAVOR of 90-100% chocolate products. (although TOO BITTER for MOST people; I'm a MINORITY, for sure)... However, THIS shipment got shipped to Houston (in June) -- & came soft/melted (so, I had first to put it in the refrigerator for a while); even then stuff is STUCK to the wrapper -- NOT SO GOOD !!! I would rate it a 5.0 -- were it not for the shipping / handling / heat issues...

I love this brand of sugar-free chocolate. There is no sweetener here. Only as subtle taste of orange on top of the bitter flavor of pure cocoa. It is truly delicious, it can be paired up with any nut butters for people, like myself, who are allergic to sugar. It is a big pricey so I’m not buying it all the time but it’s definitely a delicious product

Outstanding chocolate, even 100% I love chocolate. I miss chocolate. This is perfect if you're trying to low carb it. There is about 1 carb for a large portion, zero grams of sugar, and generous amounts of fat and fiber. Trader Joe's carries the plain bars for around $3, but I wanted to try orange. Since the bar only adds orange essence, not orange pieces or liquor, the carbs don't increase. On top of all that, the chocolate tastes outstanding. It isn't baking chocolate, but it melts beautifully.

This is 100% Pure Chocolate and definitely an acquired taste. It is quite a bitter taste, so if you’re wanting to wean yourself onto better quality, purer Chocolate such as this with high Cocoa Solids, then try starting with the lower percentages first such as 60%, 70%. You might not appreciate the taste if you were used to consuming Milk Chocolate. You don’t need very much as it is very rich and filling. I eat a small piece every day to fit in with my Diabetic Diet and to ward off a Family History of Dementia…!!

​As a long-time fan of seriously dark chocolate, I was intrigued by this "Absolute Black" 100% cocoa bar. Let me tell you, it does not disappoint. The intense, deep cocoa flavor is beautifully balanced by the zesty hint of orange, and the crunchy cocoa nibs provide a fantastic texture that keeps things interesting. This isn't your average, sugary candy bar; it's a bold, flavorful experience. ​My one minor complaint? This bar has a serious vanishing problem. The moment I set it down, it seems to have disappeared into thin air. I'm not saying it's the most addictive chocolate on the planet, but let's just say I was practically nibbling at the bit to open the next one. A truly remarkable feat of chocolatey goodness.

This was my first ever attempt at eating 100% dark chocolate. I don't really like orange in chocolate but I was worried that the chocolate on its own would be really bitter and overpowering without the addition of orange oil. For me personally, the combination of the cocoa nibs and orange oil just wasn't that nice. I still ate the whole bar, I decided to eat one square a day. I later tried the absolute black (just cocoa solids without nibs or oil) and that's somehow much creamier and nicer than this one. Despite this somwhat negative review, it was a really cool experiment and I do think it's worth trying for the experience. I've always had brittle nails and an odd side effect of eating one square of chocolate a day has been that my nails are suddenly rock solid. I did some research and it seems like it's most likely the magnesium in my case. Here are my key points: - Creamer than I expected - Not as bitter as some other reviewes suggested - Not sure the cocoa nibs add anything positive into this. - I don't like chocolate oranges to begin with, so I was never the target audience for this. - Has improved my nail health significantly - Does help with sweet cravings

I ordered "Montezuma's Absolute Black (i.e. the, plain, 100% Cocoa, Dark Chocolate, Gluten Free & Naturally Vegan, 90g Bar), the, popular, Cocoa and Almonds bar as well as this Orange and Cocoa Nibs bar. Out of all three of them I found this "Dark Chocolate Orange & Cocoa Nibs" bar the most interesting and this is the one I will purchase again (especially as it's easily available via Amazon). Why? The mix of orange zest and crunchy nibs add a unique variety while keeping the entire bar 100% cocoa as well as sugar and nut-free! This makes this bar a super affordable option for people who want 100% choc that tastes a bit different. Clever. Worth a try if you're considering it...
