I purchased a few of these for my 5th grade class. The hat fits their heads, although it is pretty tight if you want to add a wig underneath. It is the only hat I've seen that has the "cockade" or ribbon on the side, which looks very nice with a redcoat military uniform. The hat is sturdy and well constructed. I highly recommend.

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson for a DAR enactment. He was one of the children who welcomed General Lafayette back to Norwalk, CT, after the American Revolution. In this well-made sturdy hat, he looked the part he played and seemed to enjoy wearing the hat. The hat by the way was the enticement for him to wear the rest of the costume as he felt more like a pirate (which to him was more exciting than being just a neighborhood kid of long ago). The hat took many tumblings as he ran around chasing and being chased by other boys and it still looks good as new.

Good fit for my 6 year old. His head is a bit big for his age. He loves playing George Washington!

Bummer bc the shape and details of the hat are terrific for my 9 yr old's "revolutionary soldier" Halloween costume. We'll have to figure out a way to keep it on his head- "child size" to this company must mean ages 5 and under. :(

Great hat, worked for our July 4th.

Advertised for a head size of 22 inches. Does not come close to fitting! Might fit closer to a 20. Seems to be made well. It's just really small.

Cute, very authentic looking tricorn hat. It completed my 11 year old's costume for her school play. She played the part of a revolutionary war general! Fit well with no problems.

My son wore it to school for a day to present @ the Living Museum. It fit well and looked great!
