Great and what a surprise
I have used the thick long ultra pads both made by Tena and Poise. I have MS and my leakage can go from a dribble to a gush when I just can't make it to the bahroom quick enough. When there was more than a dribble or for overnight use I just did not trust thin Pads. It is amazing how much these pads can absorb. Plus for some reason with the thick pads it seemed like the edges of my panty crotch was always getting wet. I don't know if the thick ones were just bunching up or what but I have that problem a lot less, and I mean a LOT less with these. Evidently a lot of other people like these because they are now over twice what I paid for the first package I used here on Amazon. I don't like them that much but I have found them for just a little more than what they used to be on here at the other big retailer and although I need a $50 order not to pay shipping there, I just order lots of packages. Now, I need to see if they still have them since they are way to high here. This review is for the Anywhere Ulta Thin Long Tena pads. It's also a lot easier to keep a couple of these in your purse since they take up so little room. The outer packaging is a lot easier to open than the fancy poise packaging to. OK, it isn't as quiet but really this is a multi million dollar business so I think a lot of other ladies are using this type product too so do I really care how quiet it is wen I open the package. I just want it to open easy. I've got enough other things to deal with.

Fantastic
Okay so we must gather round and discuss the topic of incontinence, something no one wants to chat about. Being somewhat young for this prob, I kept using 'overnight' pads and finally decided with all the Medicare/caid ads on TV that I would look into getting a prescription. However, if anyone doesnt already know Medicare does not cover disposable items such as these, you can get cloth diapers, but having had 5 kids that wasn't on my agenda anymore. I decided to try these, altho the word 'thin' scared me since the incontinence varies and sometimes is too heavy. Some of the cause is medications I use, but at night lying flat and suddenly at 2am waking in a fight of coughing...need I say more? I think not. If you're struggling with this issue and not sure where to start, start with these, they are super absorbent and LARGE, LONG. Instead of having to change regular pads during the day or waking at night, I use a TENA and can sleep thru the night and change on waking for the day. The price for a pak of 32, a month's worth of pads is actually cheaper than hunting down a sale on overnight w/wings pads so I subscribe to these TENA's now at a great price. I wholly recommend these to anyone unsure where to turn or slightly ashamed having to start using incontinence products.

Works better than expected
I like this product a lot. It works well during the day, doesn't leak. I asked Tena to send me a free sample of their products. The sample consisted of this type, one of their overnight pads and a super pad. The super pad was good but overkill for my needs. I ordered 2 packages of this one, the ultra thin long, and am now on the second package. Definitely a keeper and a great find for my leaky butt.

comfortable protection
I don't know that I need this much protection, but these are so comfortable, I don't notice wearing them. When I first saw one opened up, I was dismayed at how wide and long they were. I'd order them because I have been using Poise in the long. They are waaaay longer than that. Which turned out to be a very good thing. They don't slide or shift or end up where they aren't supposed to be. The width isn't a problem because the sides are very soft and the way they are shaped, it ends up forming a comfortable cup from leg crease to leg crease. Too much info? What that means is absolutely no possible avenues for leaks! Soooo - I am a happy Tena wearer now and I've left Poise in the dust. Yes, they do cost more. I've decided to spend the extra - they are that much more comfortable since they never shift.

Best pad I’ve found, but beware! 60 count option is a different product!
This is the best one I’ve found. The extra length provides extra protection when sitting. They don’t bunch up, but stay well in position throughout the day. They’re very absorbant to protect against a real accident, and there is no odor. I’ve tried Poise and Always, and the Tena Moderate, Thin, Long Number 3 are the best so far if you just need that level of moderate protection. CAUTION! If you order the 60 count option, it’s a completely different product: It’s a Number 4. they’re very short and they clump and wad up, and you have less coverage. Look carefully at the images of the products, paying attention to the waterdrops with the numbers in it when you order. Be sure to order the item that shows “3” in the waterdrops.

HATE THE CHANGE!!! Not the same as before
Well, these "Anywhere" pads are the replacement for the formerly great Tena Ultra Thin Heavy pads. For those who loved the pads in the purple and pink package, note that these are NOT the same pads! I have no idea why Tena decided to revamp their line of pads, and change so many things. After almost running out because I couldn't find my purple/pink package anywhere, I finally ordered these. It came with a sticker ON the package showing that this was the replacement for the phased out Heavy Ultra Thins. These are NOT AS GOOD as the pad it replaced. They are just as comfortable, but they are NOT as absorbent, and do not do the job nearly as well. I've gone through this package fairly fast, because it doesn't absorb as much or as well, and sends things into overflow mode instead of catching it. The old Heavy Ultra Thin pads were for HEAVY absorbency. The replacement "Anywhere" pads are MEDIUM absorbency. I wrote to Tena just today to express my disappointment in the changes and to state that I wish they would bring the other pad back. These are NOT as absorbent as the former pads, so be aware of that if you relied on them for protecting you from embarrassing situations! I tried them at home first, and surely glad that I did! It required a change of clothing - they didn't do the job. And forget about nighttime protection... they can't handle it. VERY disappointed, and truly dislike this "Anywhere" pad. Shame on you Tena, for changing a much-needed, formerly-reliable product, and double shame for trying to promote it as only a packaging change, and not highlighting the change in absorbency. Sort of like a cruel joke on your customers. UPDATE: Got a canned non-helpful response from their customer service, so Tena is not particularly concerned about the customer's concerns either. No suggestions as to what might be a better replacement, etc, just this emailed response: "Thank you for contacting TENA®. We're very sorry to hear of your disappointment with our TENA Anywhere Ultra Thin Pads. Consumer comments about TENA are always welcome. Our Research and Development personnel work to develop superior products which will meet your needs. Consumer preferences are always a very important part of this process. " So, as you can see, they were deeply concerned about changing the absorbency of the pads, all the while advertising it as a mere packaging change. It was not just the color on the package - the absorbency is much less. On a scale of 1-10, here's how I rate their response - Concerns about customers having problems - 2 Actually listening to the problem - 1 Being helpful and suggesting another product that might work - 1 Overall concern that a customer did not like the changes - 3 Overall, Tena gets a failing grade from me. Darned shame, because I liked their products a lot better than their competitors. But now, it is a crapshoot as to what will actually work. Meanwhile, the Anywhere pads have medium absorbency at best, so if you have unreliable incontinence, I do NOT recommend the new Anywhere pads. At this point, I am ready to try the Equate brand of pads. They cannot be any worse than the new Anywhere pads.

Simply the best...
These are the best. They are comfortable and absorbent. Lately, most of my local stores have stopped carrying these in favor of the more popular Poise brand, but to me, nothing matches my Tena Anywhere. I have full confidence in these pads and have never had a "mishap". These pads are flat and uniform, not "curved" to fit anything... Since I don't seem to be curved in the same places as the Poise pads, I find them very uncomfortable, and often have unexpected leaks. I have these on auto-ship from Amazon so I don't ever have to use anything else! ADDITIONAL INFO: I recently purchased a large quantity of the new Always pads. Since I bought them, I felt obligated to use them. They are finally gone, gone, gone, and I am back to my comfortable TENA pads. Never again.

I think my kids diapers were thinner than these things! (Thin, moderate, long pads)
I've been using Always Discreet moderate long for a quite some time, but when they went off the subscribe & same program, I decided to give Tena thin moderate long a try. I've gone from wearing something that was so thin I hardly knew I was wearing it to wearing a diaper! Things things are very bulky and they're always shifting around because the adhesive sucks. I guess they're fairly absorbent, but they're not very good at catching leaks because they're never in the right place. I'm constantly having to excuse myself to go to the bathroom and readjust them or doing a weird hip-wiggle dance. I'm wearing the damn things to avoid just that sort of thing! I'm going back to the Always, even if I can't get them on subscribe & save. (I highly recommend that program, by the way, I absolutely love it!)
