A Must-Have Safety Accessory for Camp Stoves
I recently picked up the FIREHIKING Fireproof Pipe Wrap to use with my camp stove, and it has proven to be a very practical and safety-enhancing accessory. Below, I've broken down my experience with this product. Pros: Safety Enhancement: This pipe wrap acts as a barrier between the hot stove pipe and any accidental contact, protecting you from burns. It adds a much-needed safety feature when using a hot stove inside a tent or other confined space. Fireproof Material: It's constructed from fire-resistant material that can withstand high temperatures, adding peace of mind when using a wood-burning stove. Reusable: I like the fact that I can leave it on the first section of the stove pipe and use it multiple times. It's well-built and designed to last. Functional Design: Once wrapped tightly around the pipe, it stays in place and performs its job effectively. It's a practical addition to any camping setup with a stove. Cons: Installation Learning Curve: Wrapping it tightly around the pipe took a bit of practice. There's definitely a learning curve to getting it just right. Slivers During Handling: Be careful when handling this product, as it can give you slivers. Wearing gloves during installation is a must. Instructions Could Be Better: More detailed instructions on how to wrap it properly would be helpful, especially for those new to this type of accessory. Conclusion: The FIREHIKING Fireproof Pipe Wrap is an excellent addition to any camping stove setup, adding a layer of safety that can prevent accidental burns. While there is a bit of a learning curve to installing it, and handling requires caution, the overall functionality and effectiveness of this product make it well worth considering. Just remember to wear gloves during installation to avoid any discomfort, and take the time to wrap it tightly for the best results. If you use a stove during your outdoor adventures, this fireproof wrap is a wise investment for your safety and comfort.

Great performance but USE GLOVES
Great materials works as advertised. Caution: use gloves when handling. This is insulation material and handling with bare hands will leave you with countless pinprick painful and itching hand wounds for dats

Perform a pre-burn in
Be sure before you use this to do a burn in on the section of stove pipe. Otherwise it will smoke and smell for about 10 minutes inside your tent. Also if you use it be sure to use gloves, the fiberglass fibers come out all over and really irritate your skin if they get on it. Other than those things it is a good additional pipe heat barrier for your stove pipes or for tent stoves.

Gets very hot
I wrapped this over itself several times to cover a small area, and even the thickest part of the wrap got too hot to touch within an hour of burning. The clamps, and anywhere you wrap it only once or twice as it's pictured, will be scalding. I'm getting rid of this before I try to do any longer burns. Also, a good portion of this unraveled completely as I was wrapping it, and it left all these tiny splinters in my hands. So I can't even repurpose it somehow, it's useless. The clamps are nice. Otherwise, total waste of money.

Good product
Exelent stove pipe fire proof wrape. Bought it for an extra barrier of protection between the stove pipe and the tent. Just be sure you do a burn in, in the open air first the wrap will release smoke the first time it heats up. It does block alot of heat from the stove pipe.

Works as intended. I wrapped the diesel heater exhaust pipe where it meets the opening of the roof of the tent

'Stovepipe Ribbon' should work for intended purpose. The clamps get hung up a bit when tightening down with the turn key so just be prepared to use a knife or flathead screwdriver (to push it down slightly away from the bolt) then it will continue to feed through.

This wrap is excellent quality. I used it to wrap stove pipe going through my wall at my camp (If using for that purpose I would use in conjunction with other safety measures) and it works well. With the fire raging, I can touch the wrap and it doesn't burn. It gets warm/hot but won't burn you. Keep in mind: before indoor use, be sure to burn off the gases outdoors like you would a new stove pipe or hot tent stove. It will smell for the first little bit You can see it on the horizontal pipe in the video

It works as advertised but a lot of fibreglass dust floating around. I came up with a different solution.
