I purchased this combo for a friend who rides a motorcycle on long trips. He usually straps a rod on his bike to fish at different places on his trips. This fit perfectly in his saddle bags. Its very light weight and super strong. I would compare it to one of my medium bass rods. I was skeptical at first because I myself do not even like the action of a 2 pc rod. When I got this I had to check it out before giving it to my friend and I can definitely say it is awesome. The rod has a sensitive tip and good back bone to it. The reel is super smooth and will for sure handle a good size fish. Very well constructed and a snappy bail with a quick release button for the handle. For the price this is a great deal . Im buying another for myself to keep in my truck box and I would highly recommend this combo.

Really a great value. I bought this telescoping rod and paired it with a BE3000 Plusino spinning reel. I was actually amazed by the feel and sensitivity as well as the backbone strength of the rod to set a hook. Any skepticism I had was gone after the 2nd cast when I landed a small large mouth. My 12yr old landed a 3lb+ one with ease just a few minutes later. I was impressed with how solid and smooth it felt, much closer to my 1-piece rods than I expected. The portability is awesome! Throw it under the seat in my pickup, on my bike, or sneak a few in the car during our next family road trip for when a "right time and place" magically pops up. Great product.

I really like how light weight this rod and reel combo was, and how compact it fits in a car or backpack. I went with the 7.87ft rod, and I added 15lb braided line to the reel. The reel casted really well, I had a few tangled but only had to trim the line once. I threw around a few spoons, and spinners in a river with this combo, and I caught 8 rainbow trout, only two were big enough to keep. All the extensions operated smoothly, and held in place well, the end cap is a nice addition to protect the eyelits on the tip. The only flaw I can think of, would be to improve the quality of the reel to a metal handle, and not a plastic one. Overall I would recommend this rod and reel combo to anyone looking for a compact rod, that is worth the money. My first assumptions were that the rod might have some durability flaws, I originally had this rod as my backup, but it became my main rod due to the other one snapping, thanks again for your quality products, I would definitely buy another combo if I am needing one.

When I received the product in the mail, I was surprised at how small it was. The rod itself is only about 1 foot, much smaller than my telescopic KastKing Blackhawk. The reel was extremely light as well, which was nice. When you extended the rod, one of the nice things is that each piece of the rod holds in place, which was one of my worries because I feared that the pieces would just fall back. I plan on using this in my next fishing trip and am super excited because it feels like a quality product!

Bought for my son for a Christmas gift and he loves it. Its easy to use and has accessories. Would recommend.

I like the overall design of the fishing pole I questioned the strength of a telescopic pole but it’s sturdy if u pull it out all the way. However the black ring that smooths the edges of the loops is broken I’m not sure how to replace it. That little foam pice was on the tip when I unpacked it but it still broke it would be great if could get a free replacement.

Looking for a travel rod to keep in a backpack in your truck or car? This is it. This collapsible travel rod is convenient and well made. From it's premium eyelets to it's light weight and easy to setup functionality, it can't be beat. This rod is great to break out when you're out and about and see a lake, pond or river that's looking to be fished. The rod quality is excellent and is very east to set up and break down. The color scheme is more than desirable with gold accents up and down the rod. The carbon fiber look as well added a nice touch to the overall rod. I ended up pairing the rod with a smaller 2500 size reel just for even more portability. If you're looking for a travel rod to keep in your car or something quick and easy to deploy on your kayak or small boat this is a premium option, great price too!

The rod and reel themselves are great and fit comfortably in my hands, but the included line was a complete letdown. It tangled and jumped off the spool in loose clumps no matter how carefully I loaded it, constantly forming bird’s nests. Even with proper tension and slow reeling, the line snapped mid-reel for no reason. If it breaks while spooling, there’s no way it would hold up to an actual fish. The rest of the kit is fine, but the line is cheap, brittle, and unusable — I had to cut it all off and replace it with better line from another brand.
