So last summer my partner and I were invited to go to a remote island on one of Canada’s largest lakes (Great Slave Lake). And when I say isolated, I mean isolated. The boat ride alone took over four hours one way. I’m a glamper. I like the creature comforts of home. I also am a pillow princess and knew I’d need to have a comfy bed in lieu of sleeping with only two pillows (I usually sleep with ten). I decided to order this cot after tons of research between different brands. I’m glad I did. It set up super easy and was light yet sturdy. Now it’s nothing compared to a high end mattress if you’re used to that, but it got the job done. And when I woke up in the middle of the night being swallowed by our tent during a violent windstorm, the cot was the only things still intact. Our entire site nearly flattened, my sanity on the brink for hours inside a flattened tent enduring the storm, and out of everything else the cot faired the best. If I ever go to Burning Man, this is what I’m bringing!
