Q: How effective as light rain cover

It's better than nothing, but some moisture comes thru the canvas. Be aware of pooling if the sail is not stretched tight. I have my sail sloped. It drained nicely. I can still bbq with a light rain. It definitely keeps the sun at bay. I have 3 other sails as well over my deck.

Not even worth it man. It stretches no matter how tight you keep it. Your 26x20 will be waaay bigger in no time. I gave it a good review before it came apart in the wind and smashed out a window and did 12000 dollars worth of damage on the roof of our Chevy truck. My opinion find another options.

Great coverage.

This is my second shade. Go ahead and count on a run to the hardware store. The hardware provided is crap. Not heavy duty enough. Rope? Seriously. More like bail twine. Get yourself some chain and S hooks. My last one lasted for about 4 years before a side tore. Will stretch out in the beginning so be prepared to adjust a few days after hanging. Well worth the money.

It came with everything it needed and was exactly what it said it was however it was way too big for what we needed so I ended up giving it to my daughter. She’s used it for quite a few years on her chicken coop and it seems to still be working well.

Do not hold up good in windy conditions had for two week and are now destroyed. Set up to keep cars shaded and cool due to the winds they came apart broke a headlight and my front windshield.I would not recommend this item if you live in a windy area.
