My daughter absolutely loves the story—she gets so excited every time the Big Bad Wolf comes huffing and puffing. The simple, repetitive language keeps her engaged and makes it fun for her to “read along” with me, even though she’s still learning. The message about hard work, clever thinking, and perseverance is easy for kids to understand, and the illustrations (in our version) are colorful and charming. It’s one of those books that brings a lot of joy, giggles, and even a little suspense. It’s been so sweet to watch her fall in love with a story I remember from my own childhood. Highly recommend this book for any young reader or as a special bonding read with your child! Review: Cute illustrations - The book overall was cute and my 3 year old enjoyed it. The beginning is kind of weird though, even for a kids book, which kind of bugged me because it felt like an afterthought. But since it's not for grown ups, my opinion is invalid. I'll give it 5 stars on behalf of my kid.

Cute book
I accidentally bought those Three Little Pigs book instead of another one I was looking at, and I'm glad I did. The pictures are so cute and I like how big the book is. My grandkids absolutely love it and when they come over I read this book to them four or five times, and they're always pointing to new things in the pictures.

Can't blow brick house down.
Old school book, and they don't build houses like they do now. Brick is the best thing, but cost a arm and leg now.

Great Book
Bigger than expected. Has a lot of pages but doesn’t take too long to get through. My 3 yr old loves this book and it keeps him engaged. The illustrations are perfect.

Well done adaptation
The Three Little Pigs by Mara Alperin is a pretty great fairy tale adaptation of a classic. This adaptation is well done. I give this adaptation 4 out of 5 stars in my book review. It really is a fun story, and would make a great read loud for toddlers and older. In this Three Little Pigs adaptation the illustrations are fantastic and colorful. The story is fun to read aloud with phrases like, "Hip Hip Hey," "Tra-la-la" and "Tip tip tap," and the length of the story is great for preschoolers. The only reason I didn't give the highest rating for this book is b/c the writing wasn't quite polished enough for my tastes. The story was too clunky with many "One day," Then one day," "Then," and "Until" are just a few examples to show the unpolished form of the text. However, I still feel this fairy tale adaption would make a great purchase if you were looking for a good version of this classic fairy tale.

Cute, classic story
I bought this book for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. He loves this book. I have read it to him many times. Sometimes when I am reading it to him, he wants to skip to get to the part where the big bad wold is. So cute! This book is well done. I definitely recommend buying this book.

This is a fabulous book, really fun to read, the pictures on the page are bold, bright, colourful, fun and inviting. The story is true to the classic fairy tale even though in this story the three little pigs in the each have a name - Horace, Boris and Percy but this makes the story more interesting and exciting for the child. The "big bad wolf" words in the book are displayed in a slightly bolder text, which emphasises on the repeated word to encourage recognition and repetition on the repeated words. Lovely very early intro into sounds because in the story when the pigs are building the house of straw they say "pat-pat-pat" and "tra-la-la" when building the house of sticks. I enjoy reading this book and my son loves having it read to him. I will be buying more of the fairy tales from this author as the really are worth the money.

I like this version of the story that the wolf runs away after getting his bottom burned. The other books would usually say that the pigs “killed” the big bad wolf. For a toddler, this story is much better and suitable.
