I'm quite impressed!
Over the past five years (probably longer) I've switched between iPhones, Samsung and Google pixel devices, mostly because they're what I know and they're supposed to be the best of the best. But I've just got bored. Ive been looking for along time at what I could find that's new and decided it would be the find x3 neo or the OnePlus 9. (OnePlus is basically oppo anyway) I'm so glad I went with this one and I'll explain why. Build Quality: build quality it great, I love the colour, I went with galactic silver and it's beautiful, I love how it changes colour depending on how the light reflects off it. It has a nice matted glass back that doesnt show fingerprints (none at all) although this does make it feel a little bit like plastic but it's better than being smudgy and ugly all the time! The phone does have a bit of weight to it but also surprisingly light for the size, but it's enough to feel premium, the craftsmenship being up there with Samsung! Display: The screen is one of the best, covered with gorilla glass 5 and a nice screen protector out the box, it has a slight curve on the edges but doesn't seem to cause any issues with accidental touches, the 90hz refresh rate is nice, obviously not up there with the 120hz powerhouses but it's definitely a win over iPhones 60hz... The colours are amazing and is a truly great panel! HDR10+ also supported. Camera: Exceptional actually, it really is a great camera, there's 4 built in but I'm not really sure what part they all play as I focus more on the standard modes, with portrait mode also being a great go to that works probably just as well as Samsung and apples offering.. not up there with pixel but it's not far off, good dynamic range, white balance and focus, everything's good and I'm really surprised by how much it impressed me! Software: This is what sold it for me, I mean it's android so.. well... It's android! and I know what to expect, but it's the other bits, the color os and oppo bits that made it for me, it's fun and different ( a good change) how long it'll last on me I don't know, but I am loving the experience! It's clean and modern, little animations here and there and features everywhere! You can also personalise it as much as you like.. now when you first set it up the standard home screen mode is a little annoying and doesn't have the app draw but after navigating round the settings I was able to change it! Talking of the settings app, this is probably my only complaint, things are difficult to find in here and navigating is a pain to say the least, nothing is where you expect it to be and it's all a bit confusing, I just stick to typing what I want into the search and let it present itself to me! It's annoying but not a turn off. So to summerise a few pros and cons Pros- - build quality - camera - screen - software -its different Cons- - No wireless charging - the odd stutter when doing some tasks - last year's processor - no waterproofing or dust resistance rating Overall I'm really happy with this phone, and just thought I'd share these points with anyone thats maybe not sure on their next phone, it shouldn't disappoint! I think I might be a new oppo fan

Best quality phone
I bought the phone 2 years ago and it was impressive. The camera output is amazing and it's functionality is great. I recommended to a friend and they got theirs too.

A nice mobile!
Moving from a Xiaomi Mi 10 5G Lite, this "Find X3 Neo" mobile is certainly a step up! It seems very quick and without hesitation in everything it does. With 256GB of memory, there's plenty to spare even when I load up with a lot of music to play in the car. I have the silver version - which is stylish and IMHO, looks good! Overall, everything seems to be well made and sturdy. The mobile has a reasonable weight and feels good in the hand. The display and the cameras are brilliant. Charging is amazingly rapid and the device comes with a silicon case and a ready fitted film type screen protector. The Android 11 implementation is reasonably "vanilla" without an overload of bloatware. What there is, can mostly be easily disabled if necessary. I used the OPPO cloning app on my old Xiaomi and remarkably all my settings, data, media files and apps transferred over rather painlessly. I've not had that before! I presume life was made easier by both mobiles being on Android 11. Just one app failed to transfer - and I simply reloaded it from Google Play. I then deleted some of the Xiaomi bloatware that managed to make it across. I did have to manually set up the Home Screen in my preferred "drawer" mode. I also added "File Manager +" as it also provides seamless local network access to our home NAS/Media Server. So, I can download music and films, and upload photos etc. I have had no issues with WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth. 5G gives some amazing data transfer rates. Battery life is usually more than sufficient for me for a day. So, overall I am most chuffed! The mobile is a joy to use with performance at a par with many flagship devices. The Amazon option of 12 monthly payments make it a viable alternative to a long term agreement - with the flexibility and savings of a "SIM Only" contract. However, this is not a cheap device and there are a couple of small gripes: - No glass screen protectors work on this device as keyboard and fingerprint sensor sensitivity are lost rendering the mobile unusable. So, unlike me, don't remove the factory fitted film screen protector! I have had to replace it with a soft 'hydrogel' one... - It appears to be impossible to lose the Google app from the home screen tabs (RH swipe). I managed to get rid of it on my Xiaomi but OPPO seem to have blocked that option. You can disable "Discovery" (that chews data in the background) but Google Search annoyingly remains..... - The mobile is dust rather than water-proof. - There is only a small choice of cases available - particularly wallet/flip types. Wireless charging would have been great but the rapid charge capability does compensate.

Brilliant phone x3neo
I wasn't sure what to expect at first but after receiving the phone I have to say it's brilliant. Lost my s22 plus so this was a replacement and so far it hasn't disappointed. The phone is nice in the hand not to big and it's so fast and smooth when using. The camera quality is not as good as my s22 but it's not far off. The charging on this phone is amazing takes 40mins or so for a full charge and battery lasts me all day even with my kids playing games and watching YouTube on it. Definitely worth the money at 299 it's a bargain

Very impressed (and waterproof?!!!)
Bought this phone to replace an aging Moto g. For a long time I'd bought Moto g phones and had been mainly satisfied. The latest version of Moto g had mixed reviews and seemed a little expensive for what it was, so after watching a few YT reviews decided based on price / performance to purchase this Oppo phone despite having never heard of the brand previously. I'm so impressed, battery life is 2 days, charging is fast, screen display is beautiful, seems several times faster than my old phone and android is pretty stock similar to the Motorola's. Overall does everything I want even the case and factory applied screen protector seem more than adequate. The camera I haven't used much, however the images I have taken I've been very impressed with. I recently did something I've never done before, managed to drop my (relatively) new phone in the garden pond! When I fished it out after about 30 seconds immersion in 20 cms of muddy water. The YT video I'd been watching was still running! Really thought that was the end of my lovely new phone... The case is such a tight fit on the phone that no water appeared to have got onto the phone back, which was dry, however I was able to shake water out of the charging and/or headphone port. Standard remedial action was taken ...hair dryer, rice, airing cupboard etc. and to cut a long story short the phone showed no I'll effects and has functioned perfectly now 2 weeks following immersion. Needless to say I'm gonna try very hard not to test the water resistant properties again and would not recommend anyone else trying it either! Overall I'm very impressed with Oppo and will be eventually looking to replace my wife's newer Moto g with this brand when the time comes. Quick update 29th November 2023. Well it's been six months since my phone "went swimming" in the garden pond. There seems to be no adverse effects and the Oppo us still running perfectly. Certainly don't recommend giving your smartphone a bath, but good to know in this example it was not destroyed. I'm assuming water only went in through the charging and headphone ports and these must be sealed off reom the rest of the phones electronics. The tight fitting provided clear plastic case must've prevented water penetrating elsewhere. So even more pleased with the Oppo, however I am extra careful with my phone when in the garden near the pond! Latest update May 2024 No I'll effects from from the phones "dunking" Still running faultlessly. I just took the factory supplied case off, cleaned case and phone l, both still like new. My phone has a fairly hard life as I work on the farm with horses every day, with the phone in my back pocket. Phone has occasionally been dropped and often gets mucky .. 😫 Totally impressed and delighted with this phone a brand I'd not heard of prior to reading some reviews. November 2024 Oppo still going strong despite some carelessness from me. The factory fitted screen protector has two "dings" but has served its purpose of protecting the screen. The factory supplied clear case has discoloured very slightly, although the phone back is still perfect. I'm not a phone junkie as I use a laptop and tablet much of the time, so I will replace the screen protector and maybe the case if I can find one similar. Phone function perfectly so I'll keep it for a while.

Superb
Great phone and for the price tag of £200 and absolute bargain....smooth transitions on screen, packed with 8gb if RAM which creates a super glitch free operation of multiple Apps, lovely screen.....and a solid day of usage from one charge. The only downside.....I genuinely can't find one. I spent weeks looking at a replacement phone as I had the Huawei p29 mate pro....took a chance on this.....considering the Oppo is a fraction of the price....you really wouldn't know.....if you have £200 and looking for a great all rounder this is the phone.....oh and the camera is superb too.

Good, with some quirks
I got this phone because my Galaxy S10's degraded battery and slow charging speed were starting to get annoying. I paid £190 for my X3 Lite and here are my impressions: Battery life: it lasts significantly longer than S10, albeit perhaps not as long as I expected. The 65w charging speed is very impressive however - it charges 3-4 times faster than my S10. Camera: the selfie camera is better and sharper, especially in low light conditions. But X3L's rear cameras aren't better than S10s rear cams. The colours aren't better, and I found 64MP mode useless - it adds little to no extra detail, and has very limited aspect ratio. Only tested in indoor and cloudy lighting conditions though. Performance: I don't game, but in day to day usage and multitasking, it's as smooth as my S10 (perhaps more so because of 90hz screen), even with high performance mode turned off. There might be some temporary lag after you first set up or update your phone. ColorOS: a bit disappointing. There are quite a few quirks that make it less seamless than Samsung's One UI, e.g. eye care mode annoyingly turns off on lockscreen or any fingerprint unlock prompt. There are also some quirks that make it better - e.g. there are three dark modes. Build quality: as solid as S10. Overall, it's quite good for the price.
