No. This product comes in a polypropylene bottle which over time leaks and evaporates. Air/water vapor goes in. The more times you open and close the bottle, the more air in the bottle as it empties, and the more humid the environment, the more water vapor gets in.

Q: Is this clean, as is, or does it need distillation for purification for laboratory use?

i have never distilled it, as it is good in my estimates for lab work. i have hever had a problem with its purity.

Q: Will this disolve cured silicone rubber RTV adhesive sealant?

When all else fails I use this. Xylene may work better if you are trying to get rid of RTV by MEK has removed everything that I have thrown at it, including metal etched primer. Make sure you are well ventilated with this stuff as it is STRONG.
