I have CAT6A in my house and decided to add shielded/grounded terminators. Getting the aluminum shielding and drain wire in place while crimping the terminator is awkward and flaky. This tape gets it all together to make sure everything is nice and tidy and doing its job! I looked around a bunch before finding these strips but I'm glad I did. These are sturdy and adhere perfectly around the cable. Compared to rolls of copper tape that I found, these are inexpensive enough for a home job and quality appropriate for a pro job.

Tough and they stick well

Making CAT6A plugs for wite runs on high end shilded cables is as easy as normal unshielded thanks to these stops recommend by the True Cable.

My first time working with cat6A STP I wasn’t happy with the step of preserving the foil to wrap the drain wire over as it was hard keeping the foil in tact while stripping the jackets. Now I can strip without worrying and wrap the drain wire cleanly. It makes the terminations much easier.

I wanted to put shielded connectors on my two Ethercon cables, but discovered the Pro Co cables don't even have shielding! I guess I'll have to make my own to get shielded cable. THEN I'll use this to connect the Cat6 connectors to the shielding.

This item works as advertised. Would recommend.
