Works perfectly - extends food storage life significantly
This FoodSaver jar sealer attachment has been a game changer for food storage. It works flawlessly with my FoodSaver vacuum sealer and the accessory hose. The seal it creates on mason jars is excellent—you can hear the lid pop down when the vacuum is achieved, just like with traditional canning.I use this for storing dry goods like flour, sugar, rice, coffee, and dehydrated foods. The vacuum seal keeps everything fresher much longer than regular jar storage. It's also great for storing leftovers in jars—extends their fridge life significantly. No more stale pantry items or freezer-burned foods. The jar sealer is durable plastic that fits standard and wide-mouth mason jar lids perfectly. It's simple to use—place it on the jar, connect the hose, and run the vacuum cycle. Takes just seconds per jar. Easy to clean and store when not in use. This attachment has paid for itself many times over by reducing food waste. Being able to vacuum seal jars means I can buy in bulk and store things properly without worrying about spoilage or pests getting into dry goods. If you have a FoodSaver, this jar sealer is a must-have accessory. Expands the usefulness of your vacuum sealer tremendously.Highly recommend!

These work great AND they work with older Food Saver Models
I purchased these mason jar sealers for my older model Food Saver (V3835) that has a built-in retractable hose with an adapter that inserts into the top. I already had one for the large mouth Ball jars and I needed one for the regular size. I couldn’t find an offer for only the regular size, but there was one for a set that included both sizes and a hose to attach to a Food Saver. I was a bit skeptical about getting this product due to some reviews, so I purchased a hand-held mason jar sealer instead (which can accommodate both sizes). It works good, but I prefer to use the Food Saver because it’s quicker and I use it a lot. I decided to take a chance and try this product. I’m happy to say, I’m very glad I did! Both sizes work great! They seal the jars and they are compatible with my older Food Saver! I now have an extra hose and large top as a back-up. As for the hand-held unit, I use it for traveling or portable use.

Amazing device, works great, can't believe I've been living without it.
Y'all! This is amazing! So easy to use, uses regular Mason jars and lids, so no extra packaging to buy, and keeping things vacuum sealed is WONDERFUL! Look at that avocado! I sliced it, put it in the jar, vacuum sealed it and put it in the fridge 2 days ago!! I was also able to vacuum seal my Maseca in large jars, which is amazing, because I can only find it in huge bags but there's only 2 of us eating things made with it, so I was always having to toss a bunch after it went rancid. Now I can keep it vacuum-sealed and use it all before it can go bad. I'm actually moving my Mason jars to my main cabinet and putting the Pyrex in the far cabinet, because I'm going to be vacuum sealing everything I can, heh heh. I also use an old bicycle pump that I converted to a vacuum pump (search YouTube to find the demonstration I watched), so I can always use this method regardless of electricity availability. 😊 It's amazing! Edit: the regular mouth sealer is a PITA! It seals about 1/4 of the time. Its seal is different from and quite inferior to that of the wide mouth sealer. HOWEVER, there is a simple fix, which I found by reading another review here: put two lids on top of the jar! This keeps the sealer from slipping down too far and being unable to create the proper suction for a seal. Whew! I was trying all sorts of things - rubber bands, cut strips of silicone straws, etc. I'm glad there's such a simple fix! It totally works. It seals the bottom lid to the jar, and you can use the top one again, so you don't need double lids - just one extra. I'm going to keep one with my sealer. 😊

*3.5 stars* Wide mouth works great, regular mouth is ok
The sealing that this facilitates on mason jars is great. Items stay so much fresher when this is used either by itself or with an O2 absorber. The wide mouth sealer works extremely well. It seals multiple jars well and without issues. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have indicated, the regular mouth is problematic. The regular mouth sealer does seal jars well also but you have to play with it a bit. And the blue gasket/sealer comes loose from the hard plastic piece every single time I seal a jar. So, I want to seal regular mouth jars? I have to get it to seal first (not always easy), release it from the jar (also not always easy) and then replace the gasket, that ALWAYS comes off, just right to get it ready for the next jar. If I want to seal 10-12 jars? I have to repeat this process 10-12 times. NO exception to this process. You have to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME. 5 stars for the wide mouth sealer, 2 stars for the regular mouth sealer-3.5 stars overall. Sooooooo, wide mouth fantastic, regular mouth works but is a pain to use. Fyi, I still use it but I tend to store things I use regularly in wide mouth jars and just use regular mouth jars for long-term storage items which cuts down on the size and number of jars I can use. Plus, all my special edition/color jars are regular mouths and because of the flaw in the sealer, these jars pretty much just sit in the back of the cupboard rather then adding a nice splash of color to the kitchen.

This is a great product for sealing jars, so easy to use and a great way of preserving food. It works on many vacuum sealer machines and comes with its own tube .... if you don't have one with your machine..... great!!

実際は、ホースが欲しくて購入しましたが、ジャーキットに興味がでて、別途で専用蓋を追加購入しました。瓶自体は、100均で購入していたものと蓋を変更して、真空の保存瓶を簡単にできてよかったです。

I purchased the jar sealer so I could keep longer term storage items in the mason jars, and free up the expensive foodsaver fresh containers I have so they can be used for frequent access foods. There have been some reviews regarding the regular size sealer not working, I experienced the same thing at first, but then figured out how to get it to work every time. First, make sure the sealing lid has no variations, like little bubbles in the seal - this will not work. Second, make sure the lid is clean and the jar rim is clean. Third, once the sealer is in place on the jar, lift it off slightly by a few millimeters so that you see it draw down as the vacuum increases. This was the biggest thing that helped get consistent sealing. Another reviewer suggested heating the lids in hot water first, I haven't tried this yet, but could help if you have less than perfect lids. The wide mouth lids work consistently when the jar sealer is placed firmly on the jar. I would highly recommend this, it is a cost effective way for medium to long term food storage. This does not replace hot water bath canning or pressure canning. It is more for dry goods or keeping refrigerated items fresher longer.

The enemy of any cost concious consumer has to be waste, whether it be in finance and economics or in physical commodities and possibly the biggest of these is food waste, given food is one of the most constant and expensive things we buy, over time any waste in that particular area will prove very costly. If you already have a foodsaver machine you will already know what a difference it makes to lessen any food waste. Even the most organised person can find that an item of food has unexpectedly "gone off" whilst they weren't watching.. being able to preserve shelf life for longer can only be a good thing and as I say, if you already have the food saver machine then this is a no brainer. I use it with Kilner jars to vacuum seal things I might use only occassionally and over time of course the savings mean this little accessory pays for itself until at some point the cost is recouped... from that moment on it will be paying you to own it. An indispensible addition to any preppers store room. Some folk say that it won't always work and I do use the 2 lid method to ensure a seal, I have found it is important to use good quality lids. There are plenty of cheapie clones which may or may not work but it is worth investing in some proper branded matched lids if you use Mason or Kilner jars - I keep a set purely for sealing jars and often use the cheaper clone lids for when I am canning, where they appear to work very well. There are a couple of thousand reviews on here so I doubt my review will make any difference at all but when you come across a product that is so clearly "a good thing" I feel its worth my time to mention it. I always check at least a few reviews myself before buying anything here and I say... Buy with confidence
