Good Bang for Your Buck for Peloton!
My expectations were guarded as the reviews for this product were a bit all over the place. I wanted to get this to connect to my Peloton to get the 'strive score'. It connect immediately and super easily, also connected easily to the peloton app on my phone for non bike workouts. It is very accurate for heart rate, I compared it to my fit bit watch and it's spot on- if not seems to be more accurate to the level of activity I'm doing. I charge it once a week but I think it could go much longer than that. Be warned that any band like this takes some getting used to (comfort-wise) as bands like this work best if they are tight so the sensor stays in the same location. I do think the quality of the band is fine, probably similar elastic to any band like this. I had zero issues with this product, it was well worth it for the affordable price!

Reliable
Works well and easily connects with Peloton. Unlike chest strap monitor, it has always worked since getting it a few months ago. I keep it plugged into base so I'm not sure how long it lasts with each charge. It can be hardish to turn on and off in that you have to press and hold button down until lights are on or they go off. Happy with purchase and would buy agsin.

Downgraded to 'do not buy'
My last Scosche heart rate monitor lasted 7 awesome years before the battery finally died a slow death. It worked great but I needed a replacement so I got a new one. I'm not impressed with the strap nor the hooks which connect to the unit to hold it on your arm. - I always used my Scosche monitor on my wrist because it slips down from my forearm when I ride aggressively. This strap is too long to permit that and the wearer must wear it on their forearm. - Because wearers must slide it up their forearm, it's difficult to get the tension right and as you see in other reviews, this causes breakage in the units strap pins. - The strap has hooks on each end which easily fall off the strap making it so your heart rate monitor is 2 parts, probably leading to them being separated or lost. - Performance of the unit seem pretty consistent but I can't attest to its accuracy of course but it seems ok. It gives me real-time feedback on my bike computer to tell me if I'm working hard or slacking during training rides. The most important part is that it works, transmitting my heart rate to my computer but the strap issues are a bother to me. I may improvise a strap that works more like my last Scosche because this is intolerable. I hope the designers are reading this. Update: As you see in the new image, the heart rate drops to around 80, which is obviously a glitch that causes me to question the accuracy of the device. That's not cool. *** Update: This thing continually loses connectivity to my Garmin 1030. That along with the problems others have with the case breaking where the straps connect and shorter battery life make this a 'Do not purchase" item. Sorry Scoshe. Fix your product.

works great
I needed a heart sensor for my virtual rides - for my regular rides outside i use a Garmin Fenix watch for tracking but it is a pain in the but to link it to my tablet for virtual rides in MyWhoosh so i wanted to get a standloane sensor. I first looked at chest straps but they are more expensive and more finicky to work with so I gave the Rhythm 2 armband a shot. The heart rate is just as accurate(or better) as my $600 watch and it is plug and play - just turn it on and search for a heart sensor in the MyWhoosh app - it pops up in a second or two. The same should be true for other virtual ride apps(Rouvy, Zwift, etc)

This is my second one...
I had the first generation of this monitor for several years and loved it! Unfortunately, when I moved I lost the charger. This is the second generation and I do like it. However, there's one thing that I haven't figured out. When I turn it on sometimes, after a few minutes it will stop recording my heart rate. I have it connected to my exercise bike. I then shut it off and restart it and it's fine. It does not do this all of the time and seems to do it less after I recently charged it. I don't know if there's some setting that causes this or if it's a fault with the monitor. I still like it because it's easy to use and connects easily to exercise machine. However, I liked my old one better!

Lost cost high value
I bought a more expensive heart rate monitor to wear on my chest and it didn’t work, plus the battery was super difficult to install. This device charges in the wall, and it lasts a very long time on one charge. It’s comfortable to wear, and my heart rate is consistent, plus it’s easy to pair with MapMyRun (haven’t been able to get it to connect to Strava yet). If you’re looking for a low cost monitor, I’d recommend trying this out.

Works great and is very comfortable to wear during excercise.

This sometimes connects straight away and at other times it won’t connect at all. There are times it will drop the connection, most frustrating. Not a “happy camper” with this HRM.

Another edit after several months of use. I experimented with several positions on my arm and found my inner forearm the best for measurement. I am more impressed with this device than I expected. This is an edit to my original review and I think it’s important because I want to be fair. After more use I think this device is better than I originally suggested. It can give you a relatively accurate HR. I find that it doesn’t adjust as quickly as a chest strap to changes in pace. The real issue seems to be how far it can transmit. If you are using it for treadmill running, outdoor running or riding you bike with a stem mounted display, I think it will be just fine. When I am using it for indoor cycling training I find the bluetooth and ANT signal does not transmit far so I need to keep my laptop/tablet much closer than I normally would. I use an HRM every day and I have been using them for many years. For accuracy I prefer a chest strap. I am for recovering from heart surgery and the strap is super uncomfortable. I have a couple of garmin watches with HR but I know they are inaccurate. I watched some reviews of this product and thought I would give it a try. The ant+ comms is really bad. You have to be right on top of your antenna for it to work. Bluetooth is better but the data is inaccurate at least half the time. It is inexpensive and comfortable but if you need accurate hr data it’s not good enough.
