I ordered this in espresso for the high gloss dark laminate flooring in a home that I just rented. I never noticed during the walk through how many scratches there were from the previous tenant and I had to pay an extra deposit to have my dog so I immediately thought "oh great this is going to come out my deposit". After breaking out in hives and obsessing over trying to repair or disguse the pre-existing scratches i realized that scratches are just going to happen and that someone had probably already figured out a solution. I read a zillion How To pages and YouTube videos on the topic but nothing was going to help these floors. I had minor superficial scratches that were very obvious at certain times of the day when the light shined on the floor just right and not deep gouges that required filling or replacing. I decided to give this marker a chance and was so pleased that I did. I ran the marker across the scratches and it filled in perfectly. I also got a little clever and disguised some of the scratches that went diagonally across the faux grain by making new patterns with the marker. In other places I smeared it with my finger or rubbed it in to create a more "natural" appearance. It worked so well that I can hardly believe that after all my angst and obsessing that it was that simple of a solution. I also used it on the dark wood cabnits in the kitchen that of course also had scratches not obvious on the walk through. I am happy because things look perfect now and I am not worried about being blamed for something I did not see until after I moved in. I will be buying this product again.
