The Best Mirin I’ve ever tasted
This is an exceptional mirin, it’s delicate and flavorful. I use this at finish for several dishes where I want a tempered sweetness that is less powerful than sugar. Excellent on Asian fare, especially pho, but I sprinkle it on Salisbury steak as well. Well worth the price imho.

Tasty Mirin
Tasty and great for Asian cooking. Better than typical mirin sold for cooking in the grocery store.

Gotta have it!
I am almost reluctant to make this review. If you want to make top quality Japanese food (or Chinese), you need to have this Mirin. You get what you pay for. The quality means everything. I used to be able to find this in the store, but it stopped being sold. The others i found and tried were garbage compared to this Mirin.

Some of the best Mirin I've bought.
So this stuff is pretty good. No issues on the flavor. My only fairly moderate gripe is the cork is pretty weak. At some point after weeks of owning this, when I went to use the mirin the cork split and cracked completely. Some particles of the cork even fell into the bottle. Making the cap entirely useless. Nonetheless, this is some damn good stuff besides that.

The Flavor is Outstanding!
This is the best mirin rice vinegar I've ever purchased. I've been purchasing Ohsawa's Namu Shoyu locally for years. It was great to find their other products on Amazon as they aren't available locally. I highly recommend this mirin - it was totally worth the price!

It took forever to find real mirin
Why did it take so long? Who knows? This has no added sugar and is made in Japan. It makes fantastic teriyaki sauce and I have also used it with braised Daikon radishes and is superb. If it has added sugar or is made in the US, run! Actually, any Asian food made in the US is not worth buying. If you are making Japanese food, ensure everything possible is from Japan. If you are making Thai food, ensure everything possible is from Thailand, etc, etc. I have about five different soy sauces from five different countries in my pantry, for example. It is worth the effort and cost. Yes, there are significant differences and no, there is nothing made in the US that can compare. I have ordered 4 bottles and none were leaking. Tip: It is not returnable, but that does not mean you cannot get a refund. I got a refund on other non-returnable items and all it took was a simple chat with a rep. Amazon has excellent customer service.

Already opened
This item was already opened a leaked while in delivery. I don’t recommend the seller but this product itself is goo if you can find it somewhere else.
