**Update 2025** I have had this fan for a VERY long time now. Everything is still just as wonderful as when I first got it. I am still making room for it in my small office because it is perfectly doing its job. It is still quiet and no one on my calls can hear a fan droning in the background because it is so so quiet. It is still so quiet that I would/could forget to turn it off from time to time. The Rowenta "Turbo Silence" fan series is the best i've had. **update** I have had this fan for a while and some of the quirks I discovered probably needed sharing. If you have one of these, you’ll know there is some assembly involved. The ring you hand tighten to install the back part of the metal blade guard, can become loose. If this happens it will lead to vibrations that make a “ringing” noise or a “electric motor humming” noise. Which was noticeable when in whisper mode. I resolved the hum/ringing by snugging up the hand nut a little tighter. That got me back in business. Silent again. **original** The pandemic has closed my local office down and I am a remote worker now. I made a walk in closet my new home office. With the computer in there, plus me, it gets toasty. I first got a fan from Costco. It blew lots of air and sounded like a bandsaw doing it. People could hear it in the background on calls, so I needed a a silent fan. This was it. The base is about 2/3 of the Costco pedestal fan and much heavier. It stays upright and doesn’t wobble. The “whisper” mode is just enough airflow without any noise. The remote is quite good and I like that this has a remote controlled oscillation, I don’t have to touch the fan to do anything but tilt it. Worth it. I wouldn’t have ever paid this much for a fan before but it was totally worth it.

I have a lot of fans but saw this one in a “best of” listing that seemed credible, then went through the comments here. I have central air but I run hot and often didn’t feel cool enough upstairs in my bedroom, even with a Vornado and a generic pedestal fan aimed right on me. I bought the white pedestal Rowenta and have been comfortable ever since. It really is cooler. And extremely quiet. The various setting are great, and I love the little remote and use it all the time. I’d dreaded summer coming due to hot sleeping and can’t believe I found such a well designed, solid fan that really made a difference. It costs more than my other fans, but they all seem worthless now, although I’ll still use them for circulating air in certain rooms.

Brilliant fan. Powerful, large blades to cover a lot of space without even needing the oscillation. Very quiet. Got this for my son and he ended up just using this one and distributed the rest of his fans around the house.

Pretty much exactly the fan I wanted. I have a couple utilitech fans from lowes that basically create a tornado in the room. I wanted a fan that had a gentle ceiling fan type lazy breeze. This fan on night mode does that perfectly. It’s super quiet and puts out a light breeze as it oscillates about 120°. The other three speeds are great too. The fastest turbo speed I will never use but puts out plenty of airflow. The fan has small lights that light up when you have it on turbo or night mode. The dimensions listed are wrong, the fan is 23” high by 14” wide. The base is plastic but once you have the fan set up it seems fine and is not wobbly at all. You have to assemble the base, back cage, fan blade and front cage. It’s quite easy to assemble and you just need a phillips head screwdriver for the bottom cage screw. Only change I would make is I wish the control plate was silver like the cage. Not a big deal but aesthetically I think that would make the fan look better. I bought this fan for the promise of a quiet fan. It is super quiet on the 2 lower speeds, you can't even hear it running. It has 5 speeds and when you start hitting 3-5 it is louder but not as loud as other fans. I can still hear the TV when it's running. Assembly was less than 5 minutes and super easy. The parts are heavy duty and metal except the fan blade which is plastic. (A plastic fan blade is fine by me.) The mechanism to raise and lower the fan is super easy to use, way better than any other stand fan I've used. The remote control is pretty awesome, you can control the speed, sleep timer, oscillation right from the remote. As for the price, ouch, kind of expensive for a fan...but I usually buy the cheap Lasko fan from Target/Meijer; but the cheap fans are loud and have all plastic parts. They usually end up rattling too or the fan doesn't assemble properly. So comparing to a cheap fan, this fan is the Cadillac of fans. I will own this fan until it dies. I would definitely recommend this fan if it's in your price range, it feels like a solid, quality product.

Perfectly quiet! This fan is nice and quiet, which is exactly what I needed. The highest setting is still just a low hum. It's not a really strong bowing fan but works great for my needs and keeps me cool. 😎

One of my favorite purchases. It's powerful and quiet. The lowest air flow is much more useful than I'd expected. The highest air flow is amazingly quiet, and a real blessing on hot days. The range of speed from low to high is significantly better than other fans that I've recently purchased. It's bigger and heavier than other fans I've had.

Je dors avec un ventilateur dans ma chambre depuis l'école primaire. Cette année, le bruit m'agressait tout d'abord et je dois aussi entendre mon chien en bas, qui ne m'avertis plus vocalement, je dois l'entendre marcher. je n'étais plus capable de dormir avec. Je suis donc tombé sur ce petit bijou. Construction solide, comparé aux ventilateur plastique de nos jours. La vitesse 1 est pour nous, la plus géniale. Douce, silencieuse tout en envoyant une brise. La 2e vitesse est vraiment plus bruyante. Mais si ça ne vous dérange pas, le flux d'air est top à la 2e vitesse. Très performante comparé aux ventilateurs que nous avons acheté ces dernières années. Quant à la dernière vitesse, silent night, non seulement on entend rien, mais si le ventilateur est moindrement loin, je ne crois pas que ça rafraichisse le gros orteil. Et une petite lumière s'allume, ce qui se règle à l'aide d'un ruban noir collant. Elle fait ce qui est annoncé et je la recommande vivement. Maintenant, reste à voir si elle va durer dans le temps, ce que je souhaite. Je crois qu'on a fait vivre les compagnies de ventilateurs pendant quelques années ahahaha

Best fan I have ever owned. I am so happy with my purchase and will buy another one or two. It is very well made I would say heavy duty but just the same size as the other floor fans but built stronger and better. It is super quiet even on the highest speed which is five. It also has remote escalation which is great and when you raise or lower the fan it is very easy and has a pin instead of a nob so you don't have to tighten it and it stays in place. It blows air very well and is cool. I recommend this fan to all and give it a ten out of ten. Thank you Amazon for another great product.

Es el segundo ventilador que compro de este modelo marca. Llegó antes de lo programado, excelente vendedor. El ventilador tiene varias velocidades y una muy silenciosa para dormir pero no avienta mucho aire. Sin embargo todas las demás velocidades son silenciosas excepto la mas potente lógicamente. Lo recomiendo por la marca, es garantía de calidad. Además es muy fácil la limpieza y mantenimiento.

Avienta bastante aire y es muy silencioso comparado con otros. Fácil de armar. Lo recomiendo.
