After too many years I discovered my cat's goopy eyes were because of chicken. This competes with other high quality dry cat foods but is a better price. For a quality food it is worth it because my cats eat a lot less since there are no fillers. They ate a lot more blue dry and so it ended up costing about the same per month. My cats really enjoy this food. It has a pleasant fish smell and just really looks healthy. They like the wet pate salmon too and again no chicken. The most obvious change is in her eyes but she is more spunky and cleaning herself more often. She is 12yr Maine Coon. Update 11.28.25 the wet pate salmon is really a big hit never any hesitation when I put it down compared to a former blue pate which was hit and miss. When it's time, they wait for this open farm and then eat it immediately. Their coats are shiny and healthy

My cat is a huge fan of this brand, and this salmon recipe is one of his absolute favorites. It's always a relief to find a healthy food that he genuinely gets excited about at mealtime. As a pet owner, the peace of mind that comes from the ingredient list is the biggest selling point. It's clear that this is a high-quality food made with ethically sourced, healthy components like wild-caught salmon and non-GMO vegetables. It feels good knowing I'm feeding him something that is genuinely nutritious and beneficial for his health. The only drawback is that it is definitely a premium-priced cat food. You are paying for those high-quality ingredients, so I do wish it were a little more budget-friendly. That said, it feels like a worthwhile investment in my cat's well-being.

Picky cat loves it, solid ingredients. Strong smell of real food

I have literally purchased just about every cat food, wet and dry. And I have been a long time blue cat food purchaser. However, over the last year, something seems to have changed with Blue food. My cat has been throwing up every day she doesn't like blue cat food anymore. She initially had issues with it because the size is awkward. More like a pellet than a disc, which can be difficult for cats to chew. So after doing some research, I decided to try Open Farms Salmon flavor cat food. It has easy to chew, small size, and from the second I put it in her dish, she was all over it, picking out the open farms food over the blue food. And that is no small feat. As you can see in the video, when I tried to place the food next to a dime to take a video of the size, she repeatedly wouldn't let me, and kept trying to eat it. You can't get any higher praise than that. I have seen in comments that the whitefish flavor is very smelly, the salmon flavor doesn't have a very strong smell. But even if it did, it wouldn't matter. What my cat will eat, and not get sick, is what's most important. In the couple of days that I've been feeding her Open Farms, she hasn't thrown up once. The price is reasonable, for a non GMO, zero by product food. And one of the best parts is, you can enter the lot code, and track your bag of food to the source. Wow, talk about transparency. The Salmon flavor, has no chicken in it, which I appreciate. If I wanted chicken in my fish flavored cat food I would order chicken cat food. This is one of my biggest pet peeves with box store pet food. This cat food has salmon as the number one whole food in the ingredient list, the only thing that can make this cat food better, is to not use any meal sources at all. The last thing to touch on, is that in many top tier cat foods, put way too many herbs and vegetables in it. Then the cat food ends up being like a pasta dish full of oregano. And while this cat food does have some, for example, dandelion greens, pumpkin, and cranberries. Those are vegetables that are actually useful, and limited. I can't wait to try their treats too. Highly recommend. And I don't say that lightly.

High cost but a better quality product, kitty seems to like it as a snack between wet food.

For being kibble I find it to be one of the better choices. My 15 year old cat likes it.

This was my first purchase of Open Farm. I feed 3 kitties, and they are all picky and different in their tastes. One doesn’t like fish, and another one can’t digest whitefish – and fish digestion issues are not as uncommon as you might think. There’s no fish in this food--at least not in this flavor. One of my kitties doesn’t have all of his teeth, but he has no trouble chewing this fairly soft kibble. There are also freeze-dried meaty bits in there. So now I don’t have to buy “topper” anymore. All 3 love this, and that makes me very happy, since the ingredients are about as perfect as you can find. Better health means fewer trips to the vet, so it’s healthy for my wallet too, in the long run. Feeding this will also save me some time in the morning, now that I only have to open and reseal one bag of food for everybody. Yay! My excellent vet said that although we humans like variety, it’s not that important to cats. But I’ll probably still buy Rawz, and some of the flavors of Orijen (the ones that don’t contain fish). Those two brands are also mostly meat, so we don’t have to go through that whole week-long adjustment period when adding it (with the brands that contain lots of plant material, you have to gradually add in more and more of the new food to the old food, so cats don’t get upset stomachs). Aaahhh …. So nice not to have to research foods anymore. I highly recommend this one. :-)

My cat didn't go crazy for it. It was easy to open and close. Small pieces like she likes. Seemed fresh. It was very fishy smelling. My cat didn't seem to mind it.

My kittens love this dry food.They were having diarrhea and I put them on this food and with in a day my boys were having normal poops.Great price,great food.

Quand tu vas dans animalerie et tu dis je suis à la recherche la nourriture santé pour chat, la personne reste l’air incrédule et ne sait pas quoi répondre?!?!? Je mange santé et ma chatte aussi grâce ce produit génial!!! Enfin des fruits et beaucoup légumes pour ma chatte!

My cat loved the first bag, hated the second. Not sure if something changed, or if it was bad, or if my cat just decided he was done eating the same food. Who knows.
