Pepper loves it!
Pepper loves watching me prepare this, and gobbles it right down! I'm adding to kibble now to make it last. I'm on my third box! Great ingredients, and would be good backpacking food for doggies as well!

My dogs love this, and the veggie/fruit one too
It’s easy to make up, I dole it as a topping to other foods. Both my Goldens love these products. The ingredients look full and healthy. My dog trainer says this is quality stuff. I’ll order another box next week. They are expensive but really go far. Just add water and stir. Then the next day you’ll add a bit more water.

I think this is a good product and our dog loves it (and other HK dehydrates)
Our dog loves the Honest Kitchen dehydrated foods and seems to be thriving on them. I buy this one and the plain beef and the turkey and rotate them. I also use some of the HK toppers, to give her variety, along with a few fresh veggies and greens. Her last blood work was impressive on this regime. Based on several years of this HK Beef with Salmon and the other two HK dehydrates I highly recommend these products. It is easy to measure out a certain amount into a bowl and add water. I then wait about 6 or so minutes for it to hydrate, stir in the topper and or grated carrots, some torn up greens, a bit of egg, etc. Easy!!

Dogs did not prefer this flavor?
Been very happy with the turkey and Fish tried this brand and my dogs didn’t care for it but it’s a great brand. They just preferred the turkey and fish more.

Thin Metal Wire Found In Food!
We purchased a 10 lb box of HK Chicken & Duck dog food and have fed my small/medium sized dog (Corgi) about half the box so far. *Luckily*, my dog happened to bring it to my attention that there was metal wire in his food as I was putting down a fresh bowl of water next to him. He was finished eating his food, but kinda poking at something trying to decide if he should eat it. I picked up the bowl and noticed it was a curly piece of thin, metal wire in his bowl! Now, I HAD actually seen something curly in one of the scoops that I had put into his bowl while preparing his food, but it was covered in powdered food and looked like a celery string or other vegetable string... so I didn't think anything of it and thought it was part of a dehydrated vegetable. I also didn't see it while adding water to his food and mixing it up... he takes a decent amount each meal being 37 lbs, so the wire was likely covered up with food as I mixed it around and added his supplements. I have attached pictures that include the lot number and expiration date just in case anyone else has the same food and lot. (I pulled the piece of wire apart a bit and manipulated it while inspecting it before taking the pictures. It was a little more curled up when initially found in the food.) Gourmet Grains Chicken & Duck Lot: 3-3234A1 Best By: 02/20/2026 I have to say that I have 3 dogs and all 3 are currently eating Honest Kitchen varieties. Now I'm concerned about what potentially dangerous thing could be swallowed with their food! I do have another dog that is not nearly as cautious and he would have just eaten that piece of wire without a thought! Again, we're so lucky that the dog that ended up with the wire in their food is the one cautious enough to eat around it, spit it out and inspect it further before ingesting!

It’s a great nutritious mix to add fresh meat.
We prepare for my very loved & spoiled Malinois the dehydrated food in advance, but hydrating a day ahead. We scoop it into a two cup measure scoop (microwaveable) … I then layer the prepared food on the bottom and crumbled 4.5-oz of steamed pork (made days in advance) , then another layer of dog food and then more crumbled pork on top. **** the extra pork is added protein for her age of 10-years. Then I heat it up in the microwave for 2-minutes. When the two minutes are done, I’ll splash some cold bone broth on top and stir to cool down. Then dump on a plate, yes she is a plate eater. She won’t eat out of a bowl.

Healthy diet that's easy to feed
Felix the Cat loves this food. I like that I can give him a healthy tasty food that is wet. Bonus, the kitty box is less stinky than when I fed him canned food.
