PERFECT for Logitech Combo Touch iPad Pro 12.9
I love the Logitech combo keyboard, but it had no option for keeping the Apple Pencil secure other than the magnet. This device is perfect - with a couple of tweaks. NOTE: I agree with other reviews that the thin metal could scratch and ruin the iPad itself, and also wiggle around. SOLUTION: Cut one side of the plastic bag it arrives in, tape onto holder, slide into case and close shut. The sleeve keeps it from scratching and provides enough snugness to prevent movement. This pen holder is 100% secure and does not cover any functional buttons on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch.

Works as advertised!
I was very wary that there were not many reviews for this item but I'm very pleased to say that it works as advertised! I LOVE my iPad Air 4, Magic Keyboard, and the Apple Pencil (2nd gen) but I was very frustrated with the Pencil popping off and potentially getting lost. After spending more than $100 for it, I wanted a solution where the Pencil was always secured with the iPad. The instructions that came with it was very clear and attached perfectly. I keep my iPad with the Magic Keyboard inside a Twelve South BookBook (an AMAZING product, btw! Pricey but very classy-looking and at first-glance looks like a non-descrip book for security) and with this attachment it makes it a bit snug when closed but still fits. It only adds millimeters in thickness with the Apple Pencil but negligible. The Magic Keyboard closes flush with no gaps. I'll try to add pictures to show the item on my iPad Air 4 (2020) with the Magic Keyboard (another LOVE) but I highly recommend this as a secure way to store your Apple Pencil when attached to the Magic Keyboard.

Great Accessory for iPads/Magic Pencil
Tldr: great product for those who use an ipad and magic pencil. Not designed for the new ipad mini but is still usable/functions. Solid product that does what it’s supposed to do and does it well., 4/4.5 out of 5, would buy again. Story: Bought the 2021 redesigned ipad mini. Was looking for a something to cover my ipad and hold the magic pencil, found a bunch of cases online. The issue i had was touch id accuracy and small interactions of those cases in how i use my ipad. In the end i bought the apple branded folio case, which works for all my other issues but doesnt solve one of my main problems, no where to hold the pencil. Thus i found this item. Design is simple, sheet metal attached to a cutout space for the pencil and done. Tried it out, works great. Due to the nature of thin sheet metal, my unit was a bit warped upon opening but i figure that could happen with any unit even if i did return it, so didnt bother. But what i did notice was a small issue is that this product wasnt designed for the new ipad mini because when the holder aligns with where the pencil naturally sits when charging, the sheet metal covers the back camera mic and flash. Moving the pencil down further (and thus the holder) uncovers the camera mic and flash, but doesnt allow the pencil to charge. So it becomes a one or the other situation. To be fair this isnt the company’s fault since this product was made before apple redesigned the ipad mini and isnt an issue for the larger ipads. So one less star for the current reality of the product and function but not of the concept or quality. For me i just cut out a notch in the metal to uncover the two parts and now everything works fine. Overall great item, would like to see an updated design to accommodate the ipad mini. Another small change that could be added is just giving customers some double sided adhesive to stick the product to the ipad. Not everyone would use it, but since the current implementation doesnt have a way to prevent sliding or movement, the inclusion of optional double sided tape would be an easy fix. But overall im satisfied with my purchase.

Works as advertised
It’s a little pricey for what it does, but for your expensive $100-$120 apple pen which is CONSTANTLY falling off, it’s definitely worth it. Love my apple pencil, but lost it at least twice without this holder. Since installation, it’s been a nonissue. It unfortunately came bent and would not stick onto the ipad, but the company was very responsive and let me keep it for FREE. Since then I’ve rebent it and added a sticky to the back so it will attach to the ipad. I actually like it better this way, because the way they originally designed it is that the magnet between the magic keyboard and the ipad holds it together—which is fine until you want to remove the ipad. But if you stick it to the ipad itself (with any 3M sticky), then you can carry it around with your ipad when you detach it. TLDR; best accessory for the ipad after the magic keyboard and apple pencil, must use if you have issues losing your pencil.

Works for iPad mini 6 and Apple cover
There’s a tear drop cut out for the little camera flash/flashlight. The metal sheet is thin but covers enough area to stay put on the mini. Whichever way I put in the Pencil it always turns towards the charge because there’s enough wiggle room but tight enough for it not to pop out. However it’s simple still simple to take the pencil in and out. It doesn’t sit fit perfectly flush to the iPad but it’s like less than a mm of space on one end. I can only see the space from the back where by then I just slightly push it in. It still feels secure. It doesn’t cover any of the buttons. It seems like it sits differently on different ipads. It may cover some of the buttons on the iPad 11…. Not sure. It fits very well for the mini 6. Kudos to the inventor.

Slides off
I have an iPad pro with a magic keyboard case and there was no place/protection for my apple pencil. In theory, this is an amazing product but I wish it worked better and stayed in place. It moves around so much and even slides off. Not worth the money.

So perfect! Nothing to stick to a case or your ipad
I love this - exactly what I was looking for to go with my folio keyboard to keep my apple pencil safe. It just fits inside the case, with no adhesion, just fits by design, and it's made of metal. The orange holder is a fun pop of color on my gray case. Very happy with this purchase!

Initially I felt that £14 for this Apple pencil holder was a bit on the expensive side, but I wanted the tan leather one to go with my leather Caseman iPad Pro cover, as well as to protect it and avoid the loss of the expensive pencil. This one came from the US as there aren’t many options available in the UK - though I did see a cheaper, fairly similar all plastic version on another selling site. This one arrived a few days earlier than expected and I am very happy with the quality and finish. I did have to make an adaption to my case to be able to insert the metal part of the holder into the side of the case so that the pencil sits snugly on the magnetic charging area of the ipad, but I’d figured that out before I ordered it as returning it (to America?), would not be practical. To fit: I used a long blade to separate an area of the outer leather from the plastic inner frame to be able to slide the thin metal part of the holder in between and then used a small amount of glue to secure it. It looks very neat so I’m more than happy with it the result. I should say that the delivery charge was free (with my Prime subscription), so I suppose the £14 is very reasonable taking that into account. I would definitely recommend this item but careful consideration has to be given to the design and layout of your case to be sure that it can be properly fitted. The iPad is an expensive item so you don't want it to end up looking tatty.

Weak magnet, barely attaches to case.
