Can’t go wrong with a buck
Carried this for years and only sharpened it once, edge is amazing and the value is awesome. I love buck knives for skinners and everyday carry, an American classic

Just what I was looking for
I was looking for a good sized knife that was light, thin, easy to open and can wear with my office clothes. This checks all those boxes. With the clip on it only exposes a bit of the top of the knife, the clip is not too tight or loose and I can get it in a hurry. To open it is just a pull of the tab and a slight flick of the wrist. This is a 'just in case knife' as I work in NYC. Oh and it is very sharp and I feel well made and excellent value for the money. Really good find.

HOT KNIFE
Damn this thing is sexy. I love it. Just a simple, small, bad-ass gentleman's EDC.Docking one star, because I wish it was able to change the side of the clip. But, I love it so much, I'll probably take it to the drill press and make my own clip screw holes on the opposite side.

Nice size and smooth operation
very easy to open with one hand (doesn't require a flick of the wrist). very smooth opening action. great size too - not one of those stubby serrated blades that never seem to cut.

Worth it
For $45 this knife is far better than it needs to be. If I compare it to a $150 knife does it fall short? Yeah. So? For $45 it's a sharp, easy to carry, classy folding knife that you won't regret having in your pocket. Great pick up for 99% of people.

Decent knife, but needs work out of the box.
I've never bought a knife that needed so much work out of the box. The knife didn't flip well, metal frame was sharp, the wood handle was rough, and the pocket clip was a bit cumbersome. I completely dismantled the knife immediately. Found that the bearings were fouled with shavings and so on from the factory. Explains why when I added lubricant before dismantling the lack of smooth flipping just got worse. The metal edges of the frame of the knife were practically as sharp as the knife itself where I cut my finger on these edges just trying to open it. Had to sand and buff these down. The wood was embarrassingly rough out of the box, where there were edges and the wood was just not smooth in general. After refinishing the handle feels and looks really nice. Cleaned the bearings with lighter fluid and re-lubricated. Smoothed the knife axel as well. Cleaned all parts of the knife to prevent future bearing fouling. Flips smoothly now. The clip had to be bent down, and I may trim it if it poses more of an issue. I do have some concerns about the blade pointing up while carrying in the pocket but the knife feels pretty secure overall. I won't be using this knife in any kind of active situation for this reason. In general this is not a work knife and will not hold up to burly work task. Good enough knife for EDC. Will not be buying a Buck flipper ever again though.

Great value knife!
I've had two of these knives. Well made. Strurdy. Snappy opening and consistent. Light weight and easier to open than the CRKT CEO.

Definitely worth the money.
This knife was legendary Buck sharp tight out of the box. The only problem I have with it is that it’s a little difficult to open with the opening assist stud. I know it will ease up with time. Lockup is tight and solid.
