Works well printing shipping & product ID barcode labels.
This printer is a knock-off of the ubiquitous Zebra LP2844 (and variants) printer no longer made or supported by Zebra. Businesses everywhere shipping UPS & FedEx utilized (and still do) those Zebra LP printers to make the 4" x 6" ship labels. The printer works well in a light-medium duty environment and easily handles making hundreds of labels in an 8 hour workday without skipping a beat. The outputted bar codes generated always scan well. The installation manual included was a bit annoying since it only had instructions for up to a Windows XP OS. (Come-on TSC, pay a tech writer to update your software instruction sheet to cover the printer install onto a Windows 7 computer. A tiny edit to piece of paper for goodness sake's is all you have to do!) Drivers for Window 7 & 8 do exist. The printer will also run with Zebra LP drivers and you may have to default to those drivers (often supplied by the shipping software entities) to get labels to print properly in some shipping application software (we had to). You'll save some money over a comparable "G" series Zebra brand direct thermal printer with this TSC made printer. It would have earned 5 stars if they would have bothered to get their written instructions a bit more current.
