I got these because of their smaller size as I was pressed for space (and the significantly lesser price as a bonus). Have been in a situation twice now where I needed to get them out and unfortunately must say they didn't do the job in both instances...car (medium size 4WD) remained firmly where it was (bottomed out & dug itself deep into the ridge between deep sandy ruts due to my new long range tank reducing the clearance more than I was expecting). Things could have potentially been different if I had had one for each wheel (only had 2). It is quite possible that they would have done the trick for a smaller or lighter vehicle, just not on mine unfortunately. Also, several of the 'knobbly' bits came off during the 2nd incident, so it is fair to say that they are probably not very durable over numerous rescues.
