Tape It & Make It: 101 Duct Tape Activities (Tape It and...Duct Tape Series) Review: GREAT! - I bought this book as a Christmas present for my almost-13 year old niece. She's very much the creative type, and all of us enjoy encouraging her endeavors. There was a similar book that reviews were pretty if-y about, so I chose this one over the other. This has a TON of really creative projects in it for a wide variety of creations. She loves playing with play dough, but has always had a fascination with duct tape (it's in her blood) and this may be one of the least expensive Christmas gifts she gets this year, but I'm pretty sure it'll be at least the one she uses the most, if not her absolute favorite. Good number of projects, great variety, and definitely encourages avoiding the couch and tv. I recommend buying some cool varieties of duct tape to accompany this book, because, after seeing this, it makes even me want to start trying some of this! Review: Great ideas - I've seen quite a number of these types of books since my daughter has duct taped(decorated) just about everything she can think of. She has made a lot of really cute items that she came up with using her own imagination. This book though has a lot more pages and, therefore, more ideas. Keeping her duct/duck taped supply up is the expensive part but I love that she is using her imagination and not just watching TV or on the computer or Kindle. She is 11. Younger kids could do many things with it but not so young that they can't use scissors well or read the directions unless an adult or older child is willing to help. If they have to struggle too hard and someone else ends up doing most of the work then they will just end up frustrated. Everyone knows that if nothing else works, duct tape will fix anything, right? I won't tell you how my husband ended up with the nickname from the TV show(and I am not sure how it's spelled anymore) with the guy that could fix anything with duct tape- MacGyver? It was one thing that duct tape and silicone ear plugs did not fix on a car though. Now you can fix everything with pretty or funny duct tape.

Kind of Complicated
I liked the craftiness of this book. However, the directions are kind of difficult to read. It took about three people to decipher how to make a belt with duct tape. The upside is that the more you work with the book, the easier it becomes to catch on to the difficult instructions. There are detailed pictures to help you along. If you like crafts, you'll like this book. There are all kinds of creations like pillows, belts, clothing, wallets, etc.

Such a Great Gift
My 10 year old son is addicted to tape. We bought him this book along with 3 rolls of colored duck tape and he was ecstatic! He has already made a few items. The directions are clear and easy to follow for a super excited 10 year old, so that should say something. This book will offer endless entertainment and if he ever tires of these activities, Tape It & Make It came out with another book, Tape It & Make It MORE - how awesome! Packaging was flawless, product was perfect and super fast shipping. We will definitely be buying from this seller again! Thank you!!

GOOD IDEAS, DIFFICULT DIRECTIONS
I bought this book as a supplement to All Duct Out and Duct Tape Party. Each of those comes with templates for items to make but the book has many more ideas so it's good in that respect. The problem is that the directions are very hard to follow and there are no useful diagrams to help you figure out what they mean. The pieces of tape you cut to assemble an item are referred to by their color, making it impossible to follow if you have more than one piece in the same color. For example, working with 4 pieces of blue tape, they refer to each piece as the "blue piece" rather than piece A or piece 1 so it's unclear which piece they mean and if you've decided to use blue and pink, then forget it, you'll never figure it out. The book is a great idea but it would be much better if it were a DVD!

Great book!
I just got this book 2 days ago and I bought it for my boys. It is full of projects you can do with duct tape! Some projects are more difficult than others but there are different projects for different ages. You can start with easy ones and then make more complicated projects. I think it's excellent for those rainy and cold days when you have to stay home. Something to keep them busy.

Fun
I got this book for my 11 year old son. He got started making items right away- a wallet, cell phone case, etc. The directions were fairly easy for him to understand and do, but some items still needed some re- reading- even by me! A good basic, beginner book for a duct tape obsessed kid!

My 10 year old nephew loves this book! We had to keep going out to buy more duct tape because he was crafting so much. Crafts have a range of difficulty to keep kids engaged. Would buy again.

Bought as a present, so can't fully review it. Looks fun, well presented and what I expected. My son says there is very little that can't be fixed with gaffa tape.....so I thought he might have fun extending his skills!!
