EDIT - Sorry, I reviewed the mat and the Vovosun Thermostat Controller at the same time! The mat by itself gets too warm without being controlled by a thermostat controller. I wrap this around the bottom of the bottle and stick the probe onto the bottle about half way up. It keeps the temperature within a half a degree to a degree according to the thermometer and it seems pretty accurate when checking with the temp strip on the bottle. It's working great and will make kombucha making much easier through the colder months!

I used it to help root some Alocasia corms, and it worked incredibly! I have a cold room too, but these made my corm seedlings very happy.

I have 3 of these types of strip heating mats. I use them to go around my gallon sized kombucha jars during the winter and they work fine. They keep my fermenting kombucha at just the right temperature. Two of these mats I've had for years and only purchased another one fairly recently. I find them to be very useful and am very pleased with them.

Temperature control is not a feature with this heat mat, however, I have no complaints. It does what its supposed to do and I love that I am able to wrap it around the jar.
