Great variety of activities for my son to do during our long vacation in Vietnam. It sort of assumes group travel with some of them, but we just skipped those pages. :)

Intrigued 6year old grandson
Gift for my grandson , he seems interested in it and plans to take it with him on the family vacation to the Grand Canyon , he opened it and started to study what the pages suggested for travel entries

Cluttered and Busy Layout
We wanted a journal for our granddaughter, but this one is so 'busy' with very few blank pages for writing. Maybe this is an activity book for kids who don't like to write or draw, but I don't see how it stimulates creativity. I've always found that blank pages are best for writing and drawing, and that's not what this is. For what it is, it's probably nice, but I wouldn't call it a 'travel journal.' As I said, it would better be called a 'travel activity book.'

This was a great journal for my first grader and third grader to work in. The spacing was nice for little hands with big writing. There were pages to draw pictures and tape some keepsakes. And very reasonbally priced. Great product

This is a gift for my child for our upcoming trip. Has lots of fun prompts that should keep her entertained while on planes/buses/ferries etc.

I bought 2 of these ahead of a family road trip to the USA. My girls are 8 and 6 and the language, ideas, and activities are pitched just right for their reading ages. Each activity is thought provoking but simple, and encourages kids to think and document some of their obvious and not so obvious holiday experiences. The book is set out along the journey, from anticipation, preparation, then experiences whilst away, and finally summarising. Some of my personal highlights are: weather watch charts, flag drawing, quotes and catchphrases, and new experiences. For a small book it covers a lot of ground and I can’t wait for my 2 to get stuck in. I like the laid back but informative feel of lonely planet books, and it really shows through with this. Update... so after recovering from the trip, I was pleased with the journal. I think (as always) I underestimated how much parental motivation would be needed to help remember, divert from fighting, and move away from screens, but after prompting my 6&8 YO girls both enjoyed the variety of content. Most of the time my wife and I had to prompt memories but I liked this. After a few days it became a little of our routine and was a good way to keep them busy whilst we sampled the local giggle juice. Will report back on how it went!

Very nice product. But not at all value for money buy, costly.

This is the best travel journal around. The prompts are awesome and there is tons of neat things to fill in. Even my teen kid loved hers. If you have a lod who doesn't write an awful lot there's even space for polaroid size pics! This is the second time I've purchased this item because we love it so much!
