This seems like a very good value for the price. I'd give it a 5 star except for the fact that I've not tried any of the other magnifiers and have nothing else to compare it to.The old adage that you get what you paid for may still be true, but apparently manufacturing techniques have improved enough that you're getting more than you used to get.

The screws on this loupe all came with rust on them. The housing doesn't appear to have any on it, so I'll keep it and try and replace the screws if I can find the right size. Disappointed, as I was hoping to use this loupe outdoors to examine rocks.

Decent little magnifier, but cheap. Loupe stamped made in Germany, box says China...

I use this for looking at rocks and minerals in the field and the lab. I prefer larger loupes and this is perfect. I've had it for over a year and it has survived some wild terrain and quite a few drops.

This loupe is exquisite. I immediately opened it and looked into a few samples of Quartz (Amethyst, Rose and Clear) in conjunction with a 10X loupe that I purchased. I am very pleased at the durability.

Came in box marked Made in China. Magnification closer to 10x than 30x
