Q: Can I use this in Egypt?

If you mean as a head covering for Muslim women, I don’t think so. I am NOT any sort of expert on this, but my item is lacy and see through, and works well for Traditional (Latin) Mass. It doesn’t offer nearly enough coverage.

Q: Does this fit on your head and over your shoulders at the same time? If I want to cover my shoulders would this do that while being on my head too?

Yes, but similar to the way it looks in the photos in the listing, it is a close fit, it's not very large in circumference. If you want it to fit more like a shawl, with extra fabric, it is NOT large enough for that. The way it looks in the 3 or 4 photos in the listing really shows how it fits.

I'd have liked it a little longer, not much but a little. doesnt quite look so good as on the model as i am sure mine is shorter, but it is beautiful and fully functional. Great quality, very pleased.
