Bold, funky and full forward umami
I first tried black salt when my Indian in-laws used it in their cooking, and I was instantly hooked. I enjoyed it so much that I went out and bought my own. It’s definitely not your typical table salt — it’s pungent with a deep, almost smoky umami flavor that adds an incredible punch to dishes. Good salt
Good salt, tried to eat it with mozzarella cheese, gives taste of boiled eggs (I am vegetarian and can’t eat eggs but it reminds me taste of eggs). Also good in salads.

Great find! I love vegan food. I was using this for a Vegan Egg Salad seasoning. It smells like sulfur, but don't use too much. It make the tofu taste like real eggs. The color is amazing. I add dill pickles and it makes my egg salad off the hook.

I love this Black Salt. It can be difficult to find in stores. The top of the bottle cracks very easily, but I love the salt.

Have been transitioning to a WFPB (Whole Food Plant Based) lifestyle for over a year now - on the whole, it has been successful. I give myself the odd 'hall-pass' for a sushi meal/fish dish now and again. I had already accepted the fact long ago that I would never taste an egg again. This Kala Namak is THE REAL DEAL!!! My 'fake' scrambled eggs (scrambled tofu) tastes so real - it is unbelievable!!!! The quality is really there with this product - so a little goes a long way. If you’re looking for stinky sulfur egg taste smell replacement you’ve come to the right place. Use sparingly! Great for tofu scramble.

It's very good for making a vegan egg (scrambled/omelette/egg mayo replacement). The only problem is it smells so bad, clean it straight away if you spill it anywhere. The taste is very good though and it doesn't smell once cooked!

For the price on amazon it is so expensive, it can be bought from Pakistani/Indian grocery store for way less. But where I live, don't have those store, It's one of my pantry staple and I wanted it so badly once it finished that I paid the price. Quality is good as I expected.
