My wife is disabled, and needs help getting up. These are perfect for maintaining her independence.. solid, excellent quality, easy to install, and I have absolute confidence in them.

Nice wide diameter hand rail with raised "bumps" for better grip. Very reasonably priced and don't look cheap and nasty. It is partially pre-assembled and suggest getting the longest one that you can comfortably fit into your space because after taking away the length of the 90' bends at each end it leaves quite a short actual hand grip. The smaller 300mm size grip is approximately a third of its overall length, just big enough for one hand. The green glow in the dark rings are a bit of a gimmick. They barely glow at all and wouldn't be of any assistance if you did want to use them in the dark..? They do look one of the smartest plastic grab rails and have four screw fixings at each end making them a very secure hand hold once fastened tightly to the wall. The metal mounting plates have a plastic spacer fitted so that they are not directly against your tiles and the white trim pieces clip easily over the top and finishes it off nicely.

Easy to install, practical and looks good. My grab test was successful and the handrail withstood the strain I placed on it and the fixings stayed firm.

This rail is a much better product than most of the rails on offer. It has what should be an essential feature on ALL rails. A plastic/rubber pad that is in place between the fixing point and the surface. Sharp metal ridges damage shower panels or tiled surfaces. This product does not. Also the caps screw and click easily into place and are easy to remove if necessary, and comes with stainless steel screws. It is also very good value for money considering its quality.

The mounting discs at each end are held in place by heavy duty bolts which screw into a really sturdy threaded boss with a neat and tidy finish using a 6 mm hex key, they can be rotated for best mounting orientation. (Some cheaper ones only have a minimal thread length of just a millimetre or so, the thickness of sheet metal) The overall quality of finish is good, the colour is ivory not white and the mounting screws and plugs are substantial, the screws by the way are Philips No2 not Posidrive. Using the wrong driver will result in cam out and head damage probably. I had some difficulty fitting the plastic end over-caps, they need a fair bit of effort to push into place, so I used the wooden end of a hammer shaft to push them on, this worked ok. A well made product that performs as expected.

I purchased three of these grab rails 600mm and one 300mm for my 90yr old mother in Law and found them to be very well constructed and very sturdy and with the centre of the handle being ribbed they give an ideal grip for an elderly person.They came with all fittings that you need the screws were just the right length to be able to fix them firmly to the wall and they look great once fixed and my Mother in law thinks they are great and will prevent her from having another fall giving us a peace of mind knowing that she will be a lot safer.
