Fast, easy pain relief that works like a charm!
I knew about the LI4 pressure point's effect on relieving headache pain before ordering this device, and that's why I wasn't skeptical it would work. Many times in the past, I've had to manually apply pressure to my LI4 in order to relieve pain. The problem is, that means I can't do any work because both my hands are tied up. It's also hard to keep manually applying pressure consistently for the amount of time it takes to relieve the pain. That's where Aculief comes in! Just slide it on and now you're back to work immediately. For me, headache relief arrives within a few minutes of wearing the device. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this device, other than I'd like a few more color options. Yes, it's twenty bucks for a tiny piece of plastic, but it's well-built and well-designed in its simplicity to the point of near-indestructibility under normal use. More importantly, it works! It will save you time from lost work and money wasted on other pain relief products. When you think about the long-term cost to benefit ratio, you can see Aculief is the smart choice. Basically, for the cost of two to four bottles of your favorite aspirin or NSAID that might last a year, you can instead have a handy tool to quickly and easily free you from headache pain for the rest of your life! On a related note, if you're looking for an affordable acupressure wearable that targets nausea (including morning sickness and travel sickness), I highly recommend Sea-Bands. These wrist bands work on a different pressure point than Aculief, but I've found them to be just as effective at relieving nausea as Aculief is for removing headaches.

Worthless piece of plastic?
First, you never really get any concrete information on where the acupressure point is. You just have to guess that it is vaguely somewhere on the muscle between thumb and index finger. They also ask you to search youtube for their video for how to use it, which I have to guess is the same one shown on this Amazon listing, which is just as vague as everything else. After doing my best to place this in what is probably the correct location on my small hands, I notice it is fairly uncomfortable to wear. It makes it so you can't fully open your hand without it slipping. I imagine for people with larger/fatter hands this would be much worse. It squeezes in an unpleasant way that makes the muscle in your hand hurt. No reasonable amount of adjusting/stretching it seems to help any of this in any significant way. It claims to be for headache, Tension Relief, neck pain relief, etc. All I can say here is I only got a headache after having it on for awhile. I felt better a little while after taking it back off. Also, Aculief is one of those sellers that love to repeatedly send you messages begging for a review. While annoying, I didn't let it change how I rate this 'device'. Some people seem to believe it works, but I'm unfortunately not one of them.

Works but slight issues
I suffer from migraines and don't have much luck with medications so when i saw this I HAD to try it. Arrived on time, no damage and a note from the seller. I was surprised when I first took it out of that package since it was hard plastic. After watching the short video I was hoping it was more of a rubber. I had trouble putting it on and believe the plastic is the reason since it's very hard and stiff. Seller mentioned ability to "stretch" it to fit hand but I'm afraid if I "stretch" too much it will snap in half since the middle is where the seam is. Once I got it on, I DID notice relief, but either due to the plastic or my "fat hands" it either slips off or squeezes so hard it literally makes my vein pop up. Although I love the relief it gave my headache, I don't know if I can handle the pain in my hand :-( This is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. If they were able to supply sizes or maybe a more flexible rubber than plastic this would be an amazing product and I would certainly have spares available for work, vehicle, etc.

Good acupressure tool for migraines if you can handle some discomfort!
Long review incoming - hope it's helpful! I'll start off by saying that I've just received the Aculief tool and therefore haven't had much time with it yet. I'll update my review if any of my opinions change! My Story: I have suffered from chronic migraines for my entire life (I'm 25), and it has been a constant struggle to find things that work for them. I've cycled through almost all the available medications, and with health insurance in America being what it is, I never have enough of the medical relief that I need. Therefore, it's very important to have tools at my disposal that can tide me over when I don't have my medication! I'm a bit skeptical about acupressure, but with how severe my migraines are I'll try pretty much anything once. I've heard a lot about how powerful the LI4 point is, and when I read the other reviews for this little gadget I thought it couldn't hurt to try it. First Use: I've been experiencing a severe migraine for the past few days due to heat and pressure, and I've decided to break this tool out at work to see if it can help me get through my day. So far it's actually been surprisingly helpful! Keep in mind that I am also using medication, so I can't speak to its effectiveness as a solo migraine treatment, but what I can say is that I notice a definite positive change in the level of pain in my neck, shoulders, and head when I am actively using my Aculief. The Basics: The Aculief tool is very small and easy to slip into a purse or other bag (I keep it in an inside pocket of my purse or a pocket in my jeans when I'm not using it). It's relatively discrete, save for the color, so it feels appropriate to wear in an office environment. It stays on while I work (I'm wearing it as I type this review), and so far I haven't experienced any slippage. One thing I have noticed is that in order to hit the LI4 I have to wear the tool differently than is shown in the product photo. I have very small hands, so it's probably just that the tool is designed with the average hand size in mind. It's not a huge issue, in my opinion. You can see in the photos I've attached how I wear it. One other thing worth mentioning is that, because the tool squeezes your trigger point, you will have some noticeable redness on your skin after taking it off (see attached photos). This seems pretty normal to me, and the redness does disappear after a little while. I imagine that if you use the tool too much or have it too tight some bruising could occur, but I can't say for sure. I'm not a medical professional, just someone with a lot of chronic pain and experience. :) With regards to worries about stretching the tool: I have been playing around with the flexibility and have stretched it very far with not even a hint that it might break. It seems very well engineered! Why 4 Stars? I only gave the Aculief tool 4 stars because it seems a tad overpriced to me. I get the feeling that you are paying for the branding and aesthetics along with the engineering. For what it is, $20 seems a little much. However, if you are in dire need of migraine relief, it is worth a try if you can afford it. Another consideration in my review was the discomfort I experience while using it - this isn't the fault of the tool itself; it's just the nature of this type of pain treatment. While I do wish it fit my hand a bit better, I understand that I am probably not in the majority when it comes to hand size. OVERALL: A very handy little tool for us daily migraine sufferers! I have noticed relief when used in conjunction with OTC medications like Excedrin. Easy to use while working, no effect on ability to type, etc. Will leave some redness after use. Slightly overpriced in my opinion, but still worth a shot if you are in need of quick pain relief.

Cheap Plastic migraine cure?
Well, this is a cheap piece of plastic worth probably around $1.00. My head aches will not go away without medications, such as, Advil or Excedrin, and sometimes not even using those. So, I spent $19 for a little piece of plastic fully expecting it to have been a waste of money. With each headache, migraine, I've had this has got rid of it within 1 hour, which is as fast as medication would take. Even a tension headache at work from the stress while on the computer I remembered I had it in my pocket and popped it on my hand while working on my computer and a half hour later the headache was gone. Is it worth $19, no not really, it should be around $3 at most considering you can buy high quality metal clamps for under $2 each, but it is worth it for what it does yes, but it's still extremely overpriced. That being said, I lost my first one and ordered a 3 pack the headache relief without drugs is still pretty valuable to me, but I do wish they sold this for a more reasonable price. My biggest worry now is whether it will last and maintain the proper pressure over time and not wear out too quickly, as I get several migraines a week so will be wearing this often. So, is it worth $19 for a piece of plastic, it depends on whether your priorities are, if it's for value of product, no, it's way over priced for what it's made out of, this should be made out of a quality metal for that price. But, for effectiveness and not having to take medication to take out head aches, then yes, it's worth the $19 and far more, not that I would have paid much more for this being made out of plastic as it is. It works, at least for me, I was a cynic about it, and it's portable to keep with you at all times in your pocket, and that makes it worth using. My biggest recommendation would be for it to be made out of a higher quality and long lasting material than cheap plastic, but I would buy another if I lost this one even at its high price.

Not recommended
Well, it's going to be hard to tell if this gadget helps for pain because it's just not easy to use. First, they could use some instructions on how to find the right pressure point. I'm pretty sure I got the right place, but it is so tight that it's hard to get on my hand. Then, once it's on, if I move my hand, it doesn't stay put. I had a friend try it too, someone who also has migraines, but her only comment was, "it's too tight." It was actually damaging my skin. 3/23/24 Update. Since there was no way this gadget would work for me, I decided to return it, pristine in its original packaging. Ugly surprise! Amazon no longer offers free returns. Unless you want to wait in line at a UPS, Staples, Amazon store or Whole Foods market, unless you want to get a bar code emailed to you, go to one of these stores, wait to have the code scanned and personnel package and label your item, you have to pay $6.99 to be able to get a label, package it up, and send it back by UPS, as I've done for all the many years I've happily used Amazon. If I had known that I would have to pay $7 to return this item if it didn't work, I would never have ordered it.

Amazing headache relief!
Bought this for a friend that has MAJOR headaches that cause her to have stroke like symptoms. She is on all medicines that she can be on and still gets the headaches. One of her medicines she can only take 2 times in a week so she has to be very careful that her headaches don't get that bad. I wanted to help her with something more natural that could be used anytime and not cause other side effects. We received it on Thursday and I gave it to her on Friday. She wore it all day at work and never got a headache. Over the weekend she started to get a headache and so she put on Aculief and it instantly stopped it from getting worse and made it better with no meds. Today, Monday 3/4/19, she started to get a headache and again, put on Aculief and it stopped it instantly!!!! She is amazed at how well it is working and she loves it. So glad this product is available for people who suffer from severe headaches and migraines. It is made in the USA which is amazing and the customer service is great and they have reached out to me 3 times already to make sure I received it and to see how it was working! Thank you Aculief!!

Great Product, Better Customer Service
I was hesitant to purchase. Could something so simple really work? But I figured it was worth a try because I was getting tired of constantly taking OTC medicine for my migraines. Now, I've tried all types of things: essential oils, hot showers, ice packs... sometimes they work, other times no. But this little item came today and I had already began to feel a headache coming on so it could not have come at a better time. Not to mention, when I ordered (Thursday evening), I was told it was "backlogged" and I would not receive the item (even though it was a Prime item) in the standard two-day shipping and to expect it Wednesday or Thursday. But it came today (Monday) with a little card stating the reason the Aculief was going to be late in shipping was not because the item was not in stock, but the boxes they came in. So my item was sent without the box with an apology (and an offer to send the box at a later date if I so wished). I mean really, who keeps those boxes anyway. So back to the product, again using it only for the first time today, I did feel relief. It was not uncomfortable to wear at all... I actually found it quite enjoyable. A massage can hurt and only really feels worth it when it is over. This item is not like that. I will probably find myself wearing it throughout the day, just so another migraine will never creep up on me again. Now I do not know if it is due to the size of my hands, which are big, but the item is a bit more difficult to place on my hand than one would think. But once it is on, it is definitely in place. There is no fear of it accidentally falling off. I may come back and update as I use this product more, but having an item work as intended upon first use deemed the necessity to make a quick and honest review.
