World Battery Powered Steaming Toy Train Engine for Children Age 3 Years Up for Kids

Wow! It actually puffs steam, my 4 year old loves it.

Bought for my daughter and I to play with. I am very happy at how it turned out. The steam does get used in about 15 mins but the quality and look is amazing. One thing not initially obvious is that there are lights of the front of the train. We turn the lights off so it is like a night train and it is very good. The torque is also very good, can pull several carriages at once and even push back other electric trains that we have.

We ordered the train for our son's third birthday. After fitting batteries, the train worked for 5 minutes and then wouldn't come back on. We ordered a replacement and exactly the same thing happened. Thinking it was a faulty batch from Amazon, we did some googling to purchase another elsewhere only to find that someone had mentioned that it takes 2-3 seconds of a 'press and hold' to turn the train on. Both the original train and the replacement train work perfectly once you know to hold the button down. I don't know why Brio haven't mentioned this in the instructions clearly, but I am sure that the plethora of negative Amazon reviews are related to this one simple fact that is required to make it work! The train is really great and a lot of fun when used with a tunnel.

Bought this train for our 4 year old grandson who is train mad ! I think it is a little pricey but the price reduction helped to make up my mind to purchase . He loves the steam effect in particular and the train is quality built . He plays with it a lot so we are pleased with our buy .

Great value powered loco, granddaughter loves the steam coming out of the chimney!

Opened on xmas morning, doesn't work, one very sad little girl, return window closed as I was trying to be organised with gifts! Backfired 🤦🏻‍♀️

Rarely give 5 stars: but this is a solid little train that my, discerning, 2 1/2 year old grandson loves. Runs on 2 AAA batteries that last well. Great pulling power on standard wooden rails for such a small item- and also runs, slowly, on flat carpets. The little boy loves squeezing small amount of water into the filler next the funnel (and everywhere else). It sends up realistic little puffs of "steam" and amazingly there is no heat anywhere. Maybe produced by condensed air? No heat anyway.

It’s expensive but it’s only Brio train has steam coming out of smoke stack. The steam is cool to the touch so not dangerous for my son to play. It’s a bit slower in speed compared to the other Brio red train we got for my son.

This is our 2nd one for our son who just loves playing with the "real" steam train, works as expected and quick delivery.

5 stars product. I have purchased some of the Brio sets for my 3 year old child and this one really stands out for build quality, ease of use and the steam effect it really brings the game to another level.
