Not Your Mother's In A Heart Beat Blow Dry Accelerator, 6 Ounce

I used to love a product sold at Sally Beauty similar to this, and it got discontinued probably 5 years ago. I've tried probably 6 different products since then, claiming to help with drying time. I have very long and thick hair (I usually have tons of layers, and I still have a head full of hair). You guys.... this product!!!!!! 1.) It smells incredible. Almost like a sweet, sugary fruit. But not overwhelming, and very clean! 2.) It frickin works! It usually takes me like 15-20 minutes to blow dry my hair when I have layers in it, probably 25 if they're grown out. This product gets my hair dry in like 5-6 minutes! Another tip, while blow drying my hair, I also like to keep a fan on me since I get hot and it speeds up time even more! This is pretty affordable, so if you're thinking of purchasing this to try it, don't miss out! Another note, when I got this, I opened it up to smell it and noticed it was creamy. I didn't have the best reaction to that, but when i tried it, it's not creamy at all!! Literally sprays on the hair like a facial mist and i love it! It also doesn't leave my hair greasy or sticky at all.

This is the best blow dry accelerator spray I’ve found at a reasonable price. I used to use the L’Oréal quick dry which is the cheapest but it smelled bad and didn’t work as well as this one. I have a lot of long thick wavy hair and this noticeably cuts down my dry time while also adding gorgeous volume to my hair and the scent is very pleasant. I recommend spraying generously but not your roots because it is very drying and could cause dandruff. Then brush it through to spread it out and blow dry until it’s completely dry or almost there. This stuff works great for its intended purpose and I will definitely be purchasing it again.

I have long hair (longer than I’ve ever had my entire life) that’s taken me a couple years to grow out like it is now. One thing I’ve noticed is how long it takes to blow dry & it’s so damn annoying because most of the time I’m a sweaty mess afterwards so I don’t do it everyday. Plus, I’m a huge procrastinator & don’t give myself enough time to do it in the mornings before work lol. This is great for cutting down the blow drying time. The first couple of times I used it, I did have a bit of a sticky texture afterwards, but I was using too much of it. Needless to say, don’t over spray your hair lol. Once I started spraying a light even mist throughout my hair, it wasn’t sticky anymore. It cut my dry time by 15 minutes, so I wasn’t a sweaty mess after!!!! :) :) :)

I have ordered this 3 times now I wish it came in a super pack. You need this in your life if you have medium to long hair or if you just want to cut your hair drying time in half. I have shoulder length hair and I started using this when I had my longer hair and it helps save my hair drying time. It has a very light scent not noticeable at all. The scent is hard to describe because you hardly smell it at all I would just say it smells clean and slightly sweet. The spray bottle works very well just every once in a while make sure to wipe the spray nozzle so it doesn't clog.

I had read a lot of positive reviews on this item so I was a disappointed when I didn't see "amazing" results.I have REALLY thick, curly hair and was hoping this would help cut down on the drying time. It may have shaved 1-2 minutes off, but in the grand scheme of things it didn't make a huge difference.Biggest positive is it smells GREAT and helped detangle my hair when wet so I would re-purchase just for those 2 factors. But not for it's ultra drying power.

Not Your Mother's is a great line of products and this blow dry spray is no exception. I have pretty thick, slightly longer than shoulder length hair, which is mostly straight but still requires a specified blow dry in order to stay neat. This spraydoes not dry your hair out, it just helps the brush glide through with ease and it definitely dries quicker though I cannot understand the science behind why it is. My normal blow dry time can be anywhere from 20-30 minutes. I have easily shaved off a minimum of 10 minutes with this spray (I've timed it) and probably even a bit more than that. It makes getting ready for work in the morning so much easier and quicker. Less time under the dryer is even more important as we move in to summer. It's up to 96 degrees here in NY today and I manage not to need another shower just from sweating under the hair dryer!

I love this stuff and can't find it in stores any more.Pros:Leaves my hair soft, shiny, and cuts down on frizz.Does not leave my hair oily or greasy.Helps *a little* with dry time. I'll say for my long, straight, fine hair, it seems to help a little.Cons:All of the "Not your mother's" products smell a little strong and funky to me. I get choked up a little if I spray too much at a time with this one. It is by far the best smelling product out of the group, though.

This stuff is awesome. I have pin-straight, (nearly) hip-length hair that is extremely fine in texture but thick in quantity. My hair is deceptive--many a hairstylist has looked forward to doing my "easy" hair only to realize I've got way more hair than you would initially guess by my lack of volume. My hair easily takes 20 minutes to dry with a blow dryer and I usually still have damp ends. I bought this as a desperation throw, and whaddya know--it works! I do have to be very careful how much of this I use; too much and my hair looks oily, not enough and the time-saving effect is negligible. After some trial and error, however, I've figured out the optimum way to spray it on for my hair type and am THRILLED because now it takes under 10 minutes to dry my hair completely. Amazing! I just wish they had a travel size, too!
