The perfect modern shoe with a pair of shorts...
I discovered Ecco with a golf shoe last year and will never buy anything else. All their shoes are super comfortable and this one does not disappoint. Very cool and the perfect shoe for shorts. Think of them as a modern look on a traditional boat shoe. I've always thought a boat shoe was a little too preppy for me so this was right up my alley. The moonless color is perfect also as it will go with just about anything. Buy a size to a size and a half smaller. For example, I'm an 8.5 normally and needed to exchange for a 7-7.5.

A Dressy Sneaker
Overall, these are an incredibly well constructed and comfortable shoe. I've been looking for a shoe that I could where out to social occasions that's no too dressy, but still has a touch dressiness to it. These are it. One thing I would do is ditch the leather shoe laces and just go with the extra brown pair they provide with the shoes. Good decision on ECCO's part to include the shoe strings, because that's only bad thing I have to say. However, that was easily corrected.

Loving them
I purchased a size 44. I am a size 11 in most other shoe brands. They fit great. I get compliments all the time. I've walked many miles in them and they are holding up well. With my prior Ecco shoes, I've felt I could walk a marathon in them. Not quite as much cushion or support with these - after 13 miles of sight seeing on vacation (according to my phone's pedometer), my feet were a little sore. more comfortable than any similar shoe I've ever worn though. I wear them with very silly looking barely-existent socks that can't be seen when the shoes are on. That keeps them from smelling like feet. I would gladly buy these shoes again.

I currently have 3 pairs of Ecco shoes. I ...
I currently have 3 pairs of Ecco shoes. I have previosly owned 2 additional pairs. All the shoes are, or were, M width. The Ecco Nauticals are a bit wider that the others. Everything else is the usual high Ecco quality.

Great shoes. Don't necessarily "run large"
For everyone saying these run large, I partially agree. The reason I say partially is because I generally size down from my tennis shoe size for boat shoes or shoes like this that I will be wearing thin to no socks in anyways. I'll generally wear around size 10.5 for tennis shoes, but for my boat shoes I have a pair that are size 9.5. For these I got the 9-9.5 size and they fit me perfectly as I have been wearing them with extremely thin footie/no-show socks(so they don't stink up). If you are ordering these with your regular tennis shoe size but not wearing socks, of course they are going to be too big! However, if you are going to be wearing socks that are a bit thicker with cushion I would not suggest sizing down. It all depends on how you will wear them. The shoes themselves are great and extremely comfortable right out of the box. The leather is soft and doesn't even need breaking in time or cause the dreaded back heel/Achilles blister like many boat shoes do. I walked around town with them for a solid 3-5 hours and my only small complaint was that the ball of my feet started to get a little sore because they don't offer a ton of cushion. This could be an issue as I plan to take these on a trip to Europe which I will be walking a ton, but I think this problem can easily be solved by replacing the insole. All in all, love this shoe! I want another pair in another color!

Great shoe!
First of all, these are Eccos, and you really can't go wrong with Ecco- it's expensive for a reason: the quality is really good. Keeping that in mind, this particular pair of shoes isn't on Ecco's high end, so don't expect super comfy, but they're casual, so you wouldn't use them to walk around in all day anyway (although most of you could, I can't because of my plantar fasciitis). Also, I always get 43 (European size) for Ecco, so I didn't even try these on, but I got lucky because these are a tad snug (in width), but fortunately, since they're leather, the snugness loosens up over time. Overall, a great shoe!

Another great Ecco shoe.
I have bought many different Ecco shoes most are excellent. I bought these as my current Ecco's are discontinued, and I must say fit, comfort, and performance exceed my previous pair. Lightweight, has a very grippy sole - even when wet, there are not just boat shoes by name but also by function.

CLASSY, AND COMFORTABLE!!
I had these on my wishlist and they sold out. The next time they showed up I jumped on them! No regrets :-) Besides the nice, classy look they are incredibly comfortable. Easily as comfortable (if not more so) as my boat shoes and even my Chuck's. They are comfortable on the first wear - no "breaking in" necessary and they seem to be very well made -- so I expect to get a few years of wear out of them. If you can catch them in stock, I'm pretty sure you'll be glad you made this purchase. ENJOY!
