Pros: The matte clear cote was easy to lay down and self leveled well. Hardened in the time the directions said it would. This stuff holds up great to road debris and stones hitting it. I painted my bike 2 years ago and not a scratch, and I put a lot of mile a year on it. Held up better than a friends new Harley. Same trip, side by side behind a dumpster truck on the freeway. 2 chips in his, none on mine. even bumped into it a few times moving stuff in my garage and not a scratch. Spilt fuel on it a few time fueling up and it has held up perfect. Cons: if you are running graphics or airbrushing on the base coat, 3 COATS MATTE CLEAR MAX. It will start to fog or make the details a little hazy if a 4th coat is added. But since there's no wet sanding involved you don't really need to go past 3 coats. Although since there's no wet sanding be advised that pin stripes or tape marks from things like stripes or 2 tone paint schemes can be felt through. Perhaps a gloss clear in the edge areas first, wet sand(do not polish), then matte clear just to level off the edge of graphics or whatever. ALL IN ALL... definitely will be purchasing again!!

I looked long and hard for a matte clear coat. Settled on this one because of reviews. Not too many options for a matte clear. Anyways, the parts came out great. Thank god I test sprayed. I had 2 fenders and sprayed the damaged one. It splattered and laid down thick and unevenly. I mixed it according to the instructions and sprayed it with a .... I believe it called for a 1.3 tip. This is the result. Paint went from a beautiful matte to a low gloss. I would not recommend. Again, only ruined 1 of the pieces. Thankfully. Also its very expensive for the size.

I used this to seal rusted corten steel. The product failed, as rust was able to permeate the coatings of POR-15.
