For a Halloween costume this is good quality. The fabric is a little itchy and stiff, but nothing that bothered my daughter. She is a little big for her age - wears a 7/8 in pants and shirts and they generally fit her well. This was just a tiny bit long in the torso for her (I think I got a medium, but the description of my review should show you, I think). This was nothing that anyone noticed but me. The little ribbons are made of a weird material but it's nice that they're included or you'd have to go get some blue ribbon somewhere if you wanted the whole outfit to be authentic looking. She was really pleased. We got her a Toto basket set and ruby slippers here on Amazon, too.

I am 5"1 and about 120 lbs. I bought the child's large costume and it fits pretty well. To my surprise, the waist area was too big and baggy. As an adult woman with a 32 C the chest area fit fine and the straps were not too loose as described in the other reviews but keep in mind this is supposed to be a child's costume and would probably be way too big on an actual child. The petticoat does not show like in the picture but it does make the dress nice and poofy. The dress length hits about two inches above my knee. The petticoat is scratchy but so is any halloween-costume-type petticoat that I have ever bought. You just wear spanks and move on. This is a perfect value for the price. Perfect for a Halloween costume. I imagine that the waist/chest area might fit better if you size down, but you might run into an issue with the length.

This was the most beautiful and flowy Dorothy costume. We loved the material of this costume, it wasn't stiff like alot of other versions of it. The fit was good and came knee length which was perfect. We did end up getting candy all over the white part on the top and it washed right out, so it must be a good material. Worth the buy!

Her outfit was absolutely perfect! I’m not sure we could’ve gotten any closer than that. It did not come with the basket or the dog or the shoes, but those are easy additions. The costume itself was good quality. I think if you’re in between sizes, you probably would want to size up. We constantly got stopped on trick-or-treat night from people complementing on her costume.. 💗

I spent an inordinate amount of time looking into Dorothy costumes for my 3.5 year old at all different stores, rolled the dice on this one, and am so glad I did. The price was fair, the quality was very good (not too itchy), the look is classic, and the fit was spot on (size small fit nicely yet generously enough to add to the dress-up bin). Easy to add white tights, lacy socks, and a long sleeve tee underneath for colder Halloween eves. We added out own Toto in a basket and red shoes. Very satisfied and got tons and tons of compliments.

I read every review for this item before purchasing, and considered my chances of receiving a decent costume as 70/30. I'm glad I gambled. Yes, as other reviewers noted, the straps were loose, the waist was big, and the inside skirting was scratchy. None of those flaws really detracted from the total look. The straps were sewn in place, so they only looked loose; they didn't fall off the shoulders. The waist was loose, but it still hung well. The tulle lining was scratchy and uncomfortable, but was remedied by wearing a pair of biker shorts. Overall, the look was exactly what was wanted and my granddaughter loved her costume. The neck and arm holes were roomy, but they were still a comfortable fit. The fabric used, while not true "clothing " quality, was good enough for the costume to be worn more than once. I see no issues with her wearing it repeatedly for the four Halloween outings we have planned for this year. Will it hold up beyond those events? Not likely, but it will have served it's purpose. All in all, to divide the cost of the costume by the number of times it will be worn, this purchase was worth the cost. I'll definitely consider this seller for future short term items.

The dress is really well made . My daughter normally wears a size 10-12 girls (size large) I ordered her a medium and it fit perfectly ( I went according to the measurements listed in the description) . The crinoline is a bit uncomfortable... so my daughter wore a tank top underneath and it was fine . Super cute . Super well made !

Brilliant costume. True to size and excellent value for money

Great outfit, I would say that it is bigger made as other reviews have stated. my little one is nearly 11years and she had plenty of room to manovre in it. the underskirt irritated her skin as it is rough, I bought a little soft cotton white skirt for underneath which worked a treat. would highly recommend but you do need something for the irritating mesh.

The dress is nothing like in the picture. Two children fit into it!! It is badly cut and the fabric is cheap… to the point that my daughter has to wear white trousers underneath to cope with the scratches on her legs. A waste of your money!!
