Perfect for thin hair

I have used GHD straighteners since they first came out. Over the years I’ve bought other hair straightening tools that have promised better and straighter results, but always came back to my GHD’s as the others weren’t as good ultimately. When the Glide Brush first came out, I didn’t think it would work on my curly, wavy, mind of it’s own hair. So I didn’t buy it. More fool me! I saw a review on YouTube and decide to buy it. It was on offer, always great to get money off. I ordered it on 28th June, and it arrived on 1st July. Very quick indeed, considering I live in Dubai. So I washed my hair as usual, applied a heat protection product, and dried my hair with a hairdryer. I didn’t use a brush to try and tame my hair, as I usually do. I wanted my hair to have it’s wave and curls to test the brush to its limit. Once fully dry, I ran the brush through the front of my medium length hair. It was straight right away! It took me 10 minutes to do my whole head, completely straight. Usually with the straighteners it takes around 30 minutes. My hand gets sore from pressing the straighteners together, but not with the brush. Yes it is a heavy brush, and I kept pressing the button. But as someone else pointed out, you have to hold the button down to turn it off, so no problem there. After I’ve straightened my hair, I usually have waves on the back of my head, that I need to go back later and straighten again. The brush straightens everything without the need to go back and straighten it again. Also the condition of my hair feels so much better using the brush. My straighteners may be going in the drawer once more. To sum up, this brush is a game changer.

I was waiting to use this and I finally washed my hair today. It was a wavy mess. I am in my 40s and have long and thick hair. Took me 20 minutes to straighten it all out. Not poker straight but straight with volume. I don’t like the poker hair straightener straight look anymore as it makes my hair look flat. Works well and I will be keeping it. I don’t think the plates heat up that much like some reviews mentioned. It was manageable and touchable.

I recieved it and the box was opened and the brush was used and we found hair inside it.. very disappointed 😞
