These pills decrease my POTS symptoms a lot, especially at bath & shower time!
I'd asked the women of my POTS Facebook group for salt/electrolyte drinks because I wasn't getting enough salt in my diet. (My cardiologist laughed when he told me that, as it's the opposite of what he tells 99% of his patients!) I'm autistic and have three supertaster genes (thanks, 23andMe for that last bit) so I was getting disheartened when all of the recommendations I was getting came with "if you can get over the saltiness of the taste." Then someone recommended salt pills, and THAT was a winner! LyteCaps turned out to be the most cost effective brand to place in my monthly Subscribe & Save order, and I haven't found any reason to switch. I'll give you bullet points about the things you probably care about the most: * Taste: Yes, they leave a salty taste on my tongue, but it goes away quickly with the beverage I'm using to take them. They are not the only pills I take at one time, so I can even manage to skip the salty taste altogether if my other pills come into contact with my tongue instead. * Ease of swallowing: This is a big deal for me, because some of my bedtime pills (not when I take LyteCaps) are too thick and sharp to swallow, and I've choked on them a few times, or had them get stuck in my throat without restricting my airway. I don't have that problem with the LyteCaps. The trickiest part of swallowing them is that they immediately suck away all of the moisture when they touch your tongue. You may need a bigger swig of your beverage to get them unstuck from your tongue to swallow. Not a huge deal, because they're still in your mouth when this occurs. * How well they work (for me): My dizziness and lightheadness from standing up to shower off after my hot Epsom salt bath soaks used to be pretty epic, requiring my husband to spot me more closely so I didn't fall. This was problematic more often than it wasn't. Now that I take LyteCaps before the start of my bath, it's not that I don't get dizzy or lightheaded at all (although sometimes it works out that way!) but I no longer need to be spotted as carefully to prevent a fall. My husband can stand outside the shower curtain unless I ask for help. I don't always have to sit down to towel off now either; sometimes I can remain standing, which makes everything much easier. So LyteCaps aren't a cure for my POTS symptoms, but they are a form of treatment to decrease the severity of my symptoms. If I took them more than just at bath time, I may see further results, but I don't want to go too far the other way (too much sodium) either. Would definitely recommend.

Good Hydration
I have the fluid version of this but I wanted to try the capsule form. I will admit that it does hydrate you but depending on why you're taking it, it may be too much or too little. Meaning if you're just taking it on a hot day without physical activity, one capsule will be enough. I tried two capsules before marital arts class once, I drank plenty of water but I was bit thirsty because for me it was too much...the sodium probably made me thirsty. So now I take one capsules two hours before class and drink plenty of water. This works for me! if you have time to take one before physical activity and again during then try that to see if it works. Again depends on how strenuous the physical activity is and of course the temperature. Good stuff but play around with the dosage to see what works for you.

Lifesaver for a kid who doesn’t like Electrolyte drinks!
My 14 year old is super active with baseball, but has never been able to drink Gatorade, Powerade, etc. He truly only likes water! It’s been a struggle in extreme heat and he would get weak and struggle to recover. We tried “flavorless” electrolytes in his water- he sniffed it out fast and said it was salty. We begged him to try anything, even pedialyte, but one day I ran across these on Amazon and thought I’d give them a shot. WINNER! These are a miracle for us!! If he takes them before and during activity, his energy level isn’t impacted in the heat and he recovers faster. We will be a customer for life! Give them a try!

Great product for hot climate
I live in the South East and running in the upper 90s with heat indexes well over 100 leave me with crazy muscle cramps post run. I wasn't able to drink enough electrolyte drink to fully help, but these are great. i'll take one before a long run and another after if it's been exceptionally sweaty, and i've not had any issues since starting them. I also like that they don't bother my stomach at ALL. I've tried a few other brands that seem to be harsh. Anyway, I'd try them if you are have muscle cramps... they work great for me!

Not Lyte on hydration. Good in certain circumstances. Too pricey per daily dose though
The Lyte brand works! The caps are handy at times but I have come to prefer the LyteShow. The dosage for LyteCaps is 2-3 before bed and 2-3 in AM which makes for only a few days per bottle. In contrast the LyteShow is 3ml as needed (presumably PM then AM). Both are geared for rapid rehydration during and after exercise, though it has nearly the same important ingredients as the manufacturers higher priced anti-hangover cure. Used in conjuction with the liquid LyteShow, the LyteCaps make for adequate hydration on a daily basis. If the LyteCaps were more in line with the LyteShow (liquid), I would likely prefer this route of ingestion.

Effective
My doctor advised me to try an electrolyte supplement to try to reduce the number of iv infusions I was having to get due to medical reasons and the sweat loss of being an athlete. I tried many, but this supplement along with prescription medications has helped me immensely with blood pressure, muscle cramps, heart palpitations, circulation, and even loss of consciousness. The price is good, they’re convenient to take, and there’s no taste as with powders. The capsules can be a little sticky when trying to swallow, but I just chase them with a big glass of water as you should with electrolytes anyway.
