Amazing.

As someone who genuinely loves exploring different pens and stationery items, I was excited to finally try the Lamy Safari after all the rave reviews and YouTube videos. I went with the Steel Black Fountain Pen expecting a smooth and premium writing experience. Unfortunately, it was a big letdown. The nib feels extremely coarse and rough on paper—it drags rather than glides. I tried to push through and use it at work to get used to it, but it was just too uncomfortable and unproductive. I ended up switching back to my regular ballpoint within minutes. While the build quality and design are decent, the actual writing experience doesn’t live up to the hype.

The len came in a very poor packing and with no convertor but there was one ink cartridge. For the same price my waterman graduate chrome came with a ink cartridge, a convertor and a proper box .

Own many Lamy oens. The safaris I do own are all made of metal. The ordinary plastic is just a tad cheap to me. But this material is toy like. I will stick to the LX versions.

I’ve been hearing a lot about this pen, and I wanted to try it out for myself. It’s surprisingly smooth for a steal tip pen. Would definitely recommend for anyone trying out fountain pens.
