I'm looking for a 55 and 35. Does anyone know what size that is?

This is the 2 1/8", model CI-55. For the CI-35, look for brush size 1 3/8".

I'm looking for a brush without a ring where the barrel meets the handle (traps hair by the strand). Does this brush have one?

No, there is no type of ring, the handle is one smooth shaft all the way to where the bristles start. I have long thick hair which I blow dry after every wash. It is impossible for any hair to get caught. Highly recommend it.
