Why did you pick this product vs others?: Im going camping and dont want to take all of my blades. I love the flexcut blades. Dont judge them by the inexpensive price. Just because they're not ripping us off dont mean that they aren't are really quality blade. I picked this up when it was on sale for the independence day sale and man im glade I did. I love this little thing.

Fist off, as with other Flexcut tools I have purchased, it was sharp right out of the package. Starting with the handle. It is rounded so no sharp corners to dig into your hand. The size is comfortable to hold for extended periods. It is also long enough to ensure you have a good grip on the tool. The handle is aluminum so I have no doubt it will be durable. The tools are easy to remove from the handle. All of the tools lock into place once extended which is a must for me since I use my thumb to push the blade while carving most of the time. I mostly carve 1x6 inch and smaller pieces. The blade length will work well for my needs. Now for the nitpicks which are more personal preference than anything else. The straight gouge is a deep gouge. I would prefer it be more shallow but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I would also prefer the v gouge to be straight rather than a right angle scorp. Again not a deal breaker. Overall this is a very good carving jack for on the go.

I love the portability. I keep it in my car with a 1x1 if I ever find myself out of the house.
