There are multiple recipes that are missing ingredients. Ingredients are in cooking instructions but not on the list and the other way around. I suppose I will adjust to my own preferences but couldn’t recommend as a good book to have

I was looking forward to receiving the Electric Skillet Complete cookbook, but was disappointed after reading through it; it's very Incomplete. Forget the spelling errors, and inconsistencies in measurements.. For an author who claims she crafted the recipes for use in her own electric skillet, there is little mention of temperature changes in the recipes. Occasionally, you'll see one at 400 degrees, but some only indicate "medium" temperature. What temp is medium?? Most recipes don't even give a temperature; i.e. "Squash and Garlic Eggplant Lasagna. 'In a non-stick skillet, add and cook the eggplant, zuccini and squash for 10 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 5 more minutes....etc" No mention of temperature. For Grilled Cheese sandwiches it cautions not to burn them. Hmmm, at which temperature do we start to "grill them". It's not even mentioned in the one "temperature chart of greatness" in the beginning of the book ! For a quick meal that involves very little "cooking" , the "minced meatball garlic spaghetti" is the winner. For 35 minute prep time, there is NO meatball recipe, but you can place spaghetti sauce, meatballs and dry pasta in a non-stick electric skillet until it boils (no temp) then cover and simmer for 25 min. (what temp is simmer?) So, prep time and cooking time is listed as 35 minutes each. Remember to stir the noodles to keep from sticking." Several recipes instruct me to take out my SECOND electric skillet to complete the recipe !!! This is my first electric skillet, and after this I may never buy another if I can't find an instruction book that works. Apparently, Presto doesn't make one anymore. I don't want to continue testing recipes on my own, wasting time and money on ruined groceries. This is not a "complete" electric skillet cookbook. I am amazed that it got published. I will be sending my copy back.

Although many of the recipes look delicious and easy to make, why not roasted Brussels sprouts? Or any other vegetable? All the vegetable recipes include meat, cheese, pasta etc. I would like to know how to do just vegetables! Also the typos and grammatical errors at times had me confused. “Have Brussels sprouts.” Well, yes, I have them already. Then I realized she meant “halve”. But I will continue to work with it, wishing that some of the recipes were a little more simple.
