Its very nostalgic for me to play the old Sonic games with my four year old. He plays outstandingly well for his age. When his kindergarten class started the fall decorations, he asked to be Sonic for Halloween. He continued to remind me, so no backing out. Last year he was Iron Man and his brother (near age 3) was Captain America. Toddler costumes can be a challenge with limited selections but Mommy's a former cosplayer. I searched, but all choices looked strange or too large. This hat works great! I'd say an older child could wear it well too. It is the correct shade of blue, not dark, nor royal, but a vibrant mid shade making the fabric matching easier. The hat is seems durable and definitely far better quality than I expected. I would not clean the hat in the washing machine. To keep it in good shape, dry clean. Parents, if you get caught with this retro character selection for Halloween, get this hat/prop. Its an easy costume option that looks of good quality and is immediately recognizable as Sonic The Hedgehog. -Very good price too.

I got this for my 5-year-old son's Sonic costume for Halloween, as the headpiece that came with his original costume was ill-fitting and cheaply-made, and I thought this Sonic cap might work better. This cap was of a much higher quality and it complimented his Sonic bodysuit perfectly. The cap is very soft and comfortable. My son sometimes has sensory issues with itchy tags on clothing bothering him, but he had no complaints about the Sonic cap. The "spikes" were filled with enough stuffing to keep them stiffly sticking up and out, but we did have to play with the little ears a bit to get them to stick up, as they seem to want to lay flat against the cap. The size is great and would fit kids and adults alike. There is a soft attached chin strap the helps secure the cap, and the Velcro adheres to the fabric of the chin strap cap, so it can tighten quite a bit if needed.

Grandson loved it. Good quality and price.

The hat was made very well and it looks just like the picture. My son loves it and he wore it almost everyday for 2 weeks. My only complaint is that the size isn’t adjustable. It’s big for kid. It didn’t fit my 6 year old’s head and I have to manipulate it every time he put it on. But other than that, great purchase!

I remembered having this sonic hat as a free gift from GameStop or something. Anyways I was pleased to find it on Amazon. Exact hat I remember having! great quality fabric. The Velcro strap under the chin can be irritating. And the size is fairly comfortable for an adult to wear. Perfect for kids too, my nephew loved it.

I mean, I want to love it! The problem is the weight in the back causes it to constantly slip - not easy to wear! Definitely not something that works on children with small heads, as it's large in size. The material is very thick. It looks great. The quality seems to be nice, but the functionality is not there.

I bought this as the key element to my Halloween costume. I won 2nd place in a costume contest. First place was a historically-accurate suit of armor with reticulated joints made entirely from cardboard...so not the Sonic hat's fault that I didn't win 1st. The hat is very well-made, not cheap or flimsy. The spines stay perky even after crazy all-night parties. I'm very petite with a tiny head and the hat fit well and stayed put all night. The Velcro on the strap can be stuck securely to the fabric if the strap is too big. It is also plushy and warm, like a winter hat. It seems durable enough to wear while snowboarding, so that's where it's going next.

Purchased for adult son to wear with his costume. He liked the quality of the product and fit. Highly recommend.

Loved this product! Or rather.....my son does lol He has hardly taken it off since it was received, which was within 24hrs of the order. Looks exactly as shown and seems to be of quality materials and construction. Its yet to be in the wash, so I can't speak to how well it will hold up to that. Otherwise great product!
