Bausch + Lomb & Advanced Eye Relief Eye Wash, 4 Fl Oz, Pack of 3

This is excellent for use on people w/dry eye. I have used this product for over 25 yrs. at bedtime and when I awake in the a.m. I also use it during the day if I have a problem. Going on the internet and not blinking your eyes periodically can definitely cause that irritation. It is much better than eye drops, which can irritate your eyes and are not as effective. FYI: I paid about $8 a bottle for this eyewash on this site on Amazon, thinking that Amazon would have the best price, and then found it for $4.19 ea. at my local grocery store (Ingle's), so you may want to look at your local grocery store first.

My ophthalmologist was the one who suggested that I have these on hand at home. I have to say this is come in handy. It’s great for rinsing pollen out of your eyes, when you wake up with itchy eyes. It’s also great for the small particles when the air quality is bad. We each have our own at home, but you could probably put it in a purse or bag if needed. Check the oz if traveling.

After having surgery on both of my eyes (twice) three years ago they always seemed to be dry and constantly irritated. Part of the problem -- which I didn't have prior to the surgeries -- was the inability of the surgeon to have the upper part of my lower eyelids properly turned back against the eyeball. Instead that part of the lower eyelid is slightly turned outwards, preventing the natural seal between the eye and lid that normally keeps the eye lubricated and foreign material out. This is exacerbated by the constant pollen problems we have year round in Southwest Florida. I had previously used the Baush & Lomb Sensitive Eyes formula to wash out my eyes when they dried out or were irritated. That product seems to have been discontinued but this new Advanced Eye Relief works well for me as a substitute. It has been hard for me to find a useful and effective product because of my Viking heritage of blue eyes, light skin and blond hair. I'm simply allergic to many competing formulas. So if you've been having problems keeping your eyes properly lubricated and comfortable, try this Bausch and Lomb product. And if it doesn't work for you, just keep trying other products until you find one that does the job. We are all different after all.

I use this to treat styes! It's great to use as a rinse during allergy season & to rinse foreign objects from eyes.
