I own a low-cost, off-brand mini PC that stopped working when just six months old. That was too bad, as I liked the machine. The supposed one-year warranty from the no-name manufacturer was a joke. They didn't respond to my attempts to contact them and seem to have gone out of business. The pattern of malfunctioning I observed for this PC up until the time it completely died matched the symptoms of a failing BIOS battery. In particular, there were months of erratic booting and, toward the end, the system clock slowed down and behaved erratically. But the machine was just six months old, so I found the "bad BIOS battery" diagnosis impossible to believe. (BIOS batteries should last years and years.) Although skeptical, I removed the BIOS battery from the PC and measured its voltage. It was fine: exactly 3 volts. That seemed to rule out the BIOS battery as a source of the malfunction. But with nothing else to try, I ordered this LeFix replacement BIOS battery anyway to see if that would make a difference. When the new battery arrived last month, I plopped it into my PC, screwed the PC's case back together, and plugged in the machine. I thoroughly expected the machine to remain dead as before, but—amazingly—the PC sprang to life immediately and has worked fine ever since! Go figure.

the lead is a little short. You might have to reposition the battery as I had to.

My HP died an would not power up. Checked other ways to restore it and found an article on replacing the battery and this battery did the trick

While the connecting wire is the correct length, the battery itself is too thick to fit into the original location on the HP ELITEBOOK 9470M. The cover will not go back into place if this battery is installed in the original location, even after removing the double stick tape that is there to keep the battery in position.

Had it installed...barely used laptop...not even a 8 hrs on the battery and got a notification that it was low.
