These are manufactured to high quality & standard. Available different sizes with specs. We decided to try these as a reasonably priced alternative to bronze jib hanks for our sailboat. We replaced the brand new plastic hanks that constantly let go in the way up or down with these ( just a small 17’ sailboat) & these Carabiners Performed perfectly!!! They fit right through the grommets on edge of sail & quickly & easily hank onto the metal forestay, sliding up & down smoothly even in strong winds. I think they might actually be an improvement on the real hanks that have to be be hammered down to connect the sail, These carabiners angled in unison the same distance going up or down, & settled level holding the sail perfectly.
