Got this for my mom, as she has this same set but needed more place settings. Beautiful modern minimalist set that has a nice weight to it.

I'm not a silverware expert, but a couple things I learned from U-tube videos. The feel of these Mikasa silverware is nice, just heavy enough but not too heavy. The satin finish handles don't show fingerprints as do shiny ones. The 18/10 means the percentage of Chromium and nickel which give stainless their hardness and rust-proofness and 18/10 is generally the best ratio. They are well made, smooth finished edges, except knives which have a useful mild serade for cutting most items. We've been using them now for several weeks, we hand wash because mostly it's just 2 of us, though they are rated as dishwasher safe (I'll leave that aspect to other reviews). They clean easily. The 1-star deduct is that the tines on the dinner forks could be a bit wider apart to give better 'stab effect' on some food items. But I can still eat everything on my plate. Same for salad forks, but that said, still I'd recommend these to any household. A good value for quality silverware.

Nice weight, beautiful appearance. No problems with spotting or rusting. I was apprehensive due to a couple of reviews mentioning rust. I rinse and put in the dishwasher, where they may sit for a few days before turning the dishwasher on. They come out beautiful.

I have been using my 18/10 flatware for a month. It’s sturdy, easy to hold and a good value. I did a lot of research. The table spoon is a bit larger than perhaps the Oneida brand models but you get use to it and I really enjoy them now. I have been washing them by hand so far. Eventually I will be putting them in the dishwasher at certain times when I’m in a rush and placing the setting on ‘heat dry’ as recommended by many reviewers. I also heard not to use citrus dishwasher detergent either which I don’t use anyhow. For the value this a great product. Hope my review helps.
