I received this replacement pump - much appreciated, since the original in Pioneer Per teardrop fountain no longer works. My cats were a bit upset because there was no water circulation! The new pump looks slightly different than the old one - the water flow regulator is different. The size and fit of the pump are exactly the same. The cord is better quality than the old one. Length is the same, 6 ft. I reassembled the fountain, and it works perfectly, very quiet. Water flow is the same as with the old pump. I am happy with my purchase. Will post an update if any issues.

After 13 months of use I thought mine had died. I got on here to order another one then watched the video and saw that it actually comes apart really easily. Pulled mine apart and cleaned it (it was really gross after a year of use, shame on me) and put it back together and it works like new. The whole cleaning process took less than 5 minutes. The water flow is great and it's an easy fix if you bought a fountain whose pump does not come apart for cleaning.

These things do tend to die after a while, long before the rest of your pet fountain does. If this is critical for your pet care, you should probably have one spare just in case. The little tab adjust the water flow does tend to fall and get lost sometimes when cleaning this. Sometimes pet hair gets inside and it makes the impeller stock, but overall, this is a reliable 24/7/365 pump that you can trust, and great bang for the buck. Ezi in Centrl replacement. I bought this to replace a pump I already had to replace in my drinking fountain for my cats. The previous ones had a very stiff cord which needs to wrap around the pump to fit through the opening in the pump housing piece. Both failed relatively quickly and I was annoyed I had to buy a third one. This one was different and so far it's working and I like the way it's designed. The cord is thinner and much more flexible so it's not such a fight to get it positioned correctly. Hopefully it will last longer, but so far, so good!

I was disappointed to see that you no longer carry the original Pioneer Pet replacement pump. This one does not work as well as the original. It is noisy and even on lowest setting pumped water out of the fountain all over my hardwood floor. Ordered the Pioneer Pet replacement from Chewy and it works perfectly.

This pump works great in my pioneer pet big max water fountain. This is the second pump I have purchased. Since the first replacement pump is still doing well. Only had a small hiccup when I took it apart to clean the inside. It didn't want to spin. So I took it apart again and back together. It starting working without a problem. So I thought I better get a backup incase this one is going. Well the other replacement pump is still going strong and I have backup in box for when it goes. These pump work great. Have good lifespan. Easy to take apart for cleaning. Does good job filtering and circulating water. When I do put my spare in, I will be back to buy backup again lol.

3rd motor I've bought for this fountain, wanted to try a different brand to see if it would be better. It's more powerful in a way that's completely counterproductive. Anything but the lowest setting and the water comes too fast and goes straight over the edge onto the floor. On the lowest setting it's more loud than the original motor but doesn't have an in-between on the power, too much or too little. You only get to hear the electric buzz of the motor and not the sound of running water. It is functional though. Don't know if this works well with other kinds of fountains but it's not a good choice for the Teardrop shaped Pioneer one.
