Amazing
TOP SSD! I’ve done a lot of research and came to conclusion that this is best you can find, especially for this price. Paid around £190 and confident this will last for many years.. Durable, stylish and very compact :))

Top quality product with built in security.
I recently purchased the Samsung T7 Touch Portable SSD, and I'm extremely impressed with its performance and features. First and foremost, the speed of this SSD is fantastic. Transferring large files and backups take just a fraction of the time compared to traditional HDDs. The touch fingerprint sensor is a brilliant addition to this portable SSD. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my data is safe and accessible only to me. The setup process was straightforward, and I haven't encountered any issues with the fingerprint recognition. The design of the T7 Touch is sleek and compact, making it easy to carry around in my bag or pocket. The metal casing feels durable, providing an extra layer of protection for my data when I'm on the move. Another great feature is the compatibility with both USB-C and USB-A connections. I can use it with my newer devices and even older ones without any hassle. The included cables are of high quality and make the overall experience more convenient. I've been using this SSD for a few months now, and it has performed flawlessly without any data loss or errors. Samsung's software, like the Samsung Portable SSD app, is user-friendly and helps manage the drive efficiently. The only minor drawback I found is that the surface can show fingerprints easily, but that's just an aesthetic concern and doesn't affect its performance. Overall, the Samsung T7 Touch Portable SSD is a top-notch product. It combines impressive speed, security, and portability in a well-designed package. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of fast and reliable external storage.

software that comes with it will not operate on my Mac.
software that comes with it will not operate on my Mac. Internet searches say don't use the Samsung software because the Mac software is better. Not gonna keep a drive with fingerprint recognition that won't work.

Stupid drive, with stupid light
Do not bother with these drives. Not only are they not that quick, and get stupidly hot, but they also have the most annoying light that never, ever stops flashing. So if you want a disco attachment for your computer, then fine. Otherwise. avoid.

Overall this is perfect: 1. super easy to use, plug and play. 2. cool, I don't feel crazy heat from it at when playing games on it, super cool. 3. speed reaches 1000MB/s as advertised, copying large files >5G takes seconds. 4. slim, nice looking for sure. Con (the only issue): It runs perfectly fine on slower USB 3 gen1 (5Gbps), however, (and actually a bit annoying), when connected to USB 3 gen2 or Thunderbolt 3, it works perfectly until I start to play games on it: Red Dead Redemption 2; Warzone They will run for a while, then suddenly I can hear an USB unplugged sound and game crashes, but the SSD works fine afterward. It almost feels like just 1 file reading is corrupted and it recovers immediately, but the game won't recover :( It's absolutely normal for ANY other usage (storage for files, photo, video etc.). I tried several different cables, USB->USB-C, USB-C, ThunderBolt.. none addresses this issue. It could be motherboard related, or whatever else.. I am using Asus Rog maximus XII Formula. Searched online, it seems some others are also encountering this issue for T5, but no solution.

It is a pretty compact ssd drive that you can use for many electronics, including, the ps5 or Xbox, any laptop or computer, and TVs. It is great for travel, can fit easily in any pockets better than phones and is almost as compact as a paper thin credit card. It is also great for gaming! Has pretty good storage availability you can buy it in such as 500g, 1tb, or 2tb. I high recommend at least getting the 1tb if you love to play video games and need extra storage space, especially, on the ps5 or ps4 slim if your on ps.
