Bush Business Furniture Components 35-2/3"W x 23-3/10"D Lateral 2-Drawer File Cabinet, Hansen Cherry/Graphite Gray, Standard Delivery, WC24454C

I have purchased about 7 various pieces this Bush Business Furniture in Hansen Cherry. I am a bit neurotic when it comes to office furniture and I wanted something that would last. It had to be able to take the abuse of well….actually using it. I must say that I have been impressed so far. All of the sets came shipped on varying days from different shippers over a one week period. The packing is very impressive. Each piece of wood inside the box is wrapped in foam and/or foam like paper. One box appeared to have taken a beating, but no damage to the items. Several boxes weighed over 120lbs. Assembly varied depending on the item. If it had drawers, it took longer than a desk with two legs. Following the instructions was easy as long as you made sure you chose the correct fasteners for each step. (correct screws) They look very nice with thick laminate and they are extremely sturdy. If you want a commercial grade product at a fair price, look no further.

Took some time to assemble but very nice file cabinet. My suggestion is to use a hand screw driver, take your time assembling and you should have no issues.

IMPORTANT: This product is advertised as having dimensions of 23.3" deep. The cabinet is. The drawers are NOT. The drawers are 12" deep. Which leaves 11" of empty space behind the drawers. So if you need 23" deep drawers, which I did, this is not the product for you. I would highly encourage Amazon to update the listing to reflect this. It would have saved me a lot of hassle. Pros: It's a nice looking cabinet. It was fairly easy to assemble. It's well made (OK, this is assuming that the buyer understands this is put it together, particle board with a glued on paper finish). Cons: It's not the size they say it is. Well, OK, the drawers aren't. But what's the point of having drawers that are smaller than the cabinet? If you're going to put 12" drawers in it, then make the cabinet 12" deep. But if you're going to make a 23" deep cabinet, I think most people would expect to get 23" deep drawers. Bottom line, make sure you understand what you're getting. One more note; I don't ever leave anything but 5 star reviews. If I don't have something good to say about a product, I just don't write a review. So I'm trying to be fair here and not unessecarily bash a product for no reason.

Same issues as the 3 drawer file cabinet. I like it but very frustrated and disappointed with the fit of the drawers and assembling. The directions are terrible. Called number for support to assemble and sat on hold for hour with no answer. Didn't get an email reply until the next day. Videos for installation is pretty much not useable. I can't believe there is not separate bags labled for each set of screws. Vendor knows there is already some direciton problems when they let you know screw pictures are actual size. Preset screw holes are too small and not aligned so screws would only going 1/4 of the way or the drawers don't close smoothly when done. I had to either drill the hole bigger or screw in a bigger screw, unscrew the bigger screw, and then screw in the correct screw for it to fit. This was done for 16 holes after realizing the hole was too small for the actual size screw that was need for job. Using a hand held screw driver will not work and you arm will be sore the next day with blisters on your hand. You need a highly powerful electric screw driver or a ratchet with a screw driver bit. Would think twice before buying more Bush Industries furniture. It's ashamed because I like it so far.

Using this in an office setting. The assembly is pretty extensive, the Styrofoam packaging gets everywhere, little white BBs all over from the box being crushed. The top laminate was cracked and the corners for the drawer fronts were chipped. Did not call for replacements as the disassembly would have been extensive to replace these parts. It looks great from 10 feet away unless you know what to look for. Drawers work good even fully loaded. Alot of money for DIY furniture in poor packaging.

We opened the box, vacuumed the factory dust and washed the parts. The assembly went well. The parts were clearly labeled. We were short 6 screws, but we had some in our collection. It would have been nice to have casters instead of feet. The MDF (part D) was not strong enough for a caster retrofit. We opted for felt furniture movers. We can slide it away from the wall to clean. We recommend this product!

Beautiful cabinet. Fits well in our office. Sturdy and very easy to build. We loaded the drawers up And the drawers worked perfectly. The locking devices to prevent tip over and both drawers from being open simultaneously work wonderfully. We’ve only had this for a little while, but are really enjoying it.

This is made of press board with laminate top. Easy to assemble but takes some time. Two people recommended, as when assembled, is a bit heavy. Looks great in my home office. Drawers work smoothly.
